We too are in a big freezer right now, I walk to the subway every day to go to work, but that's not very far.

Margo, I am not trying to lose weight doing the weight-training. It's very modest what I do, all very mild upper-body stuff. I'm doing it for my joints and bones (osteo runs in my family), and just to tone up, since I tend to carry weight in my back. I just have a pair of 3-pound dumbbells (started with soup cans), and do a little routine I found on the net.

Oh, and I'm not energetic, really. The pilates is also a very modest little routine that I learned from a tape, for my "core" as they euphemistically call it--I was born with no waist and weak abdominals, so I'm fighting a losing battle.
