Kimmi, I understand about the chocolate addiction. My favorite - plain old nestle chocolate chips. Can't even keep them in the house. I finally got over chocolate and then Christmas came. After making 3 batches of fudge (sorry for the reminder), I'm addicted again. I will have to go "cold turkey" and Alan will have to put up with a grouchy wife for a couple of days (ok maybe even a couple of weeks)!
Chip - hang in there with the no smoking. I'm not a smoker but I watched my parents and I know how hard it is. They both tried to quit and then would start again. My mother finally stopped. Then, years later, my dad (in his 60's) gave it up cold turkey. They were going on a winter trip to Colorado with friends who were allergic to smoke. Dad stopped before he got on the plane and never smoked again. Unfortunately, he is paying for it in his 70's. Due to lung damage, he is on oxygen. My sister, a nurse, smokes like a fiend and we all wish she could stop. Now her children smoke. Good luck to all of you trying to quit!
