Ok, I finally got my avatar fixed so that my pic shows, so it is time to formally introduce myself.

Hi! My name is Shawna and I'm a Gauguinaholic. My husband Jack and I are early 40's and have our own computer consulting firm in Houston, which makes it difficult to get away for any length of time. No kids at home, just cats. We first sailed on the PG for our honeymoon in 2002, and are coming back for PEARLS to celebrate 5 years without any spousal homicide. For the past 5 years, I have intermittantly dreamed about being "on the boat" and now that we have booked the cruise I am completely intolerable. How many of you have spreadsheets of your cruise showing when you are in port, when at sea, and listing excursion options for each time period?? It's not my fault, it's an addiction. Or simple insanity. Anyway, as I said we have difficulty taking long stretches of time off, and so haven't had the opportunity to take any other cruises, and I can't bring myself to go on the short ones that sail out of Galveston after sailing on the PG. My middle name is Lee, but it really should be Spoiled. After reading some of your posts, however, I have decided that we NEED to take the time every couple of years and go some of these other places. We have traveled some, especially to Paris, but always land-based, as we can make shorter trips that way. RSSC has some fantastic sounding cruises that I would love to take, though. I am jealous of you all. Of course Jack was in the service and has been absolutely everywhere and we travel for business, so getting him excited about leisure travel is a little more difficult. The service on the PG was enough to warrant an easy return.

I am looking forward to the luncheon on the Navigator on 12/12, and meeting other B&K Luxury Cruisers. And yes, the luncheon is listed on the spreadsheet. You can't miss me - I'll be the one bouncing off the walls in desperate need of Ritalin. Champagne will have to do. See y'all there!!
