Wow, Trish, that's scary (the sudden cardiac death.....). It IS so hard to have to deal with these problems. I haven't had an MRI, yet, but may ask for one if these things get worse. The physical therapist I saw a few years ago told me that I had one of the worst cases of TOS he'd seen, but that his inclination was to believe that it was postural/muscle related rather than something mechanical or structural.
