What you don't hear on the news: One church (and it's a big one) ONE CHURCH, in Houston, is taking the complete responsibility of the feeding & needs of the people being housed in the Astrodome for one month!.. They will take the total responsibility for the entire time IF other churches can't take their turn or if the Red Cross, United Way, etc. can't handle it. (I found this out from my sister since her pastor is the one who volunteered their church for this undertaking....) The pastor said that other churches are so busy with the needs of the hotel/motel occupants/evacuees that it will be a strain on them to volunteer for the AstroDome.
