I also heard about the seals in New Orleans sitting in a parking lot suffering from the intense heat. (They were abandoned from a nearby zoo.) TV reported that one was shot-to be put out of his misery. Sorry, don't mean to be so graphic. But it was on TV & I still have it in my heart. There were people trying to pour water over them. (There were several suffering in the heat.) Yes, let's do what we can.
