Can I ask your help please.

We are in the stages of changing LCT to solve our problems with it going down. The first thing we did was take our email off the same server that has LCT.

This week we sent out an email flyer with our new email service and a new software about a Tahiti trip Susan is escorting. We had some problems with emailing this flyer. Some may have not received this and others may have received it twice. Can you just note below this post if you did or did not receive that flyer please. I think this is the best way to see if people received it or not.

I am just back this morning from my Polar Bear trip. I will have Ken post some pictures, I think you might enjoy seeing these.

I figured not many got it. We always get lots of responses to flyers even if something like "that made me remember I meant to contact you about xxx"

There was little response. Julie is taking a day off today after covering for me while I was gone. We will attempt to email it again next week. So TIRED of these email and computer problems.

Polar Bears was a great trip. We saw SO many polar bears, mothers with cubs, males fighting, one came right up the vehicle. Food was surprisingly good. It was VERY cold.

I was just not comfortable with doing an escorted trip and taking people without experiencing it first.

Now I think Susan Walsh will escort a trip and with my experiences we can now do this with confidence and let people know what to expect.

I will write up a report and get Ken to post some pictures once I catch up with work. Probably over the weekend.

Thanks Kim. I will tell Susan you want to go on the Polar Bears. We had a list of people that expressed interest but I was just not comfortable taking a group of people without having ANY experience with the trip. The knowledge we gained will make a big difference for the group we will do with Susan. We can change a few things and make things even better.

Ngaire, I noticed you are using the Conrad Hotel in Istanbul. I stayed there just last week and found it to be an excellent hotel. But I think they feel everyone there is on an expense account. Drinks at the bar were $25 each. A soda in the room mini bar was $15, as was a small bottle of water. I was surprised at how high the prices were. Tom.

Polar Bears will be the same time next year and right before GAME. Pretty close for you Marcie about a week between the two trips.

It is possible we will do it in 2009 as well remains to be seen.

This is a very TIME SENSITIVE trip. The entire season is only about 4 - 5 weeks and I think the last week of October to the first week of November is PRIME.

REGENT is who picked the Conrad Hotel. I think the hotels of the world are getting outrageous in what they charge for extras.
