Thanks for the heads up, Peggy. I got all my choices except I am waitlisted for the resort visit in Santo Thomas de Castilla, who da thunk that would be a popular one!

I'm waitlisted for that too Karen - I was pretty surprised. Someone must have logged in at midnight to book!

We are both waitlisted for parasailing in Key West. :(
In addition, Arlene is waitlisted for the resort visit, too. :(
The ship is wide open but excursions are sold out? Not even small group tours, either. :(
If we take all of our booked/waitlisted tours, it will amount to $1,158 "retail" value. Subtracting that from our cruise fare this is closest to our lowest per diem we have paid.

There must be something we don't know about going on with that resort visit. I booked at 8:30 this morning and also was waitlisted.
It's hard to believe so many people could have booked it overnight that it was waitlisted by morning. Tom.

We too got waitlisted on that Resort one too, must be a glitch. With Tom's back we can't do ATVs, Range Rovers, speed boat type things. We're doing lots of snorkling.
Key West (1 Day(s) in Port) PARASAILING KEY WEST US $0.00
Cozumel (1 Day(s) in Port) BEACH SNORKEL EXPERIENCE US $0.00
Belize City (1 Day(s) in Port) ABSOLUTE PARADISE US $0.00
Santo Tomás de Castilla (1 Day(s) in Port) AMATIQUE BAY RESORT US $0.00
Costa Maya (1 Day(s) in Port) BEACH SNORKEL US $0.00

We too are waitlisted, agree must be some kind of glitch.
We aren't doing a lot.
KEY WEST - 2hour glass bottom boat ride, then find our favorite seafood shack for lunch and just wander around.
BELIZE - Lamania Ruins and river cruise - Frank like ruins, have to let him have his way now and then! LOL.
SANTO TOMAS - waitlisted for Amatiaque Resort
COSTA MAYA - Jungle Beach Break.
Since I don't do face in the water, and Frank does, but its not a big thing, we aren't doing any snorkle things. Sounds like a lot of you are.
Don't know what Dick and Nancy are doing, just sent them the email letting them know the excursions were open.

It was awhile ago, and I don't remember where I read it, but I was researching that resort and wasn't impressed with it. So, maybe it will not be a big disappointment if those waitlisted can't get in. Just trying to be positive about it. Well, it's strange, and I'm try to be positive, but there is only 1 excursion offered for certified divers and I'm going to wait until we are on the ship to book it. It's in Costa Maya, our last day in a port, so Susan says it should be ok to wait and book it onboard to use ship board credit. It reminds me of the Silver Shadow cruise called "Divers' Delight" that had zero dive excursions offered through the ship! But, Colonel Wes arranged all our dives and we had an awesome time. I'm going to book scuba dives on our own in Key West and Cozumel for sure, if the operators can work within the ship schedule. Getting into Cozumel at noon is going to make it tough. I'll also try to book one in Belize if the operator can get us out of the water by 2:30 pm. That's because we have to wait 18 hours before flying after diving. The next day in Santo Tomás de Castilla, we have booked "Route of the Mayas: Tikal By Air in Depth". Regent rep said that flight leaves around 8:30 or 9:00. Just in case we don't get to dive, I've booked the snorkeling trips in both Key West and Belize.

Probably they cannot take reservations yet for something that is shown waitlisted at the release of the excursions. Maybe the details are not confirmed or something of that nature.
We have waitlists for excursions clearing EVERY DAY and if this is eventually cleared for reservations I am sure you will all clear the waitlist.

Knock on wood everyone. We signed up for this resort trip when we were on this same itinerary in January and it ended up being cancelled. I wonder if the resort waits to see how many overnight guests they have before they confirm the ship excursion???? Just FYI, if there's one of the excursions that goes to the old Castle (fort)out in the lake, that's a really fun trip. And if all else fails, they have a great craft shop right on the pier with entertainment, etc. at this port.

Looks like Clyde and I will have the ship to ourselves since we only booked two tours!! Tried for the resort one, too, but decided it didn't sound worth waitlisting for. Doesn't make me cry since I hate hot and humid weather anyway (look where I live!!!) I'll just relax with a nice cool drink and chic-lit book and watch all of you trudge up the gang plank hot, tired and sweaty!

 :app: Go for it Todd, we will be on the glass bottom boat with you so can help you get in the groove. That's my idea of snorkeling, looking thru the bottom of a boat, the bigger the better! No face in the water for me.

Todd....we did the RAIDERS OF THE LOST MAYAN CAVES tour in Belize last January - there's very little ziplining and lots of scrambling through small spaces in the caves - interesting, but not as exciting as the description might lead you to believe. Just in case you want more ZIP!
I heard good reports about the tubing.

I'm so disappointed...just got a notice from Regent that the Speed Boat and Beach Adventure in Cozumel will now NOT have the speed boat portion! Mike's good guy, but no way is he going to just go to a beach to hang out. We've changed to the ATV and Beach Adventure...does anyone know anything about that one? And, do people just hang out on the ship and not even bother going ashore? There will be 6 mega-ships in Cozumel with us, and I'm actually thinking that just staying on the ship might be more fun than anything else.

I was disappointed, too, Tami - we are beach people BUT we may just enjoy pool and pool bar on Regent that day - ATV sounds wonderful cannot do it as Tony had surgery and he'd kill me for sharing this info - OMG 6 megas???? Maybe they have shuttle into town and we can go in for couple of hrs but if it is full of tourists ugh - have never been to Cozumel -

Oh, Joanna, I am so sorry you haven't been to Cozumel, as the speed boat would have been a great way to see the island from the water. Mike and I have been there twice (once for a week of diving, and once on a cruise), and quite honestly, don't really care if we don't even bother getting off the ship. Yes, there are 2 Carnival ships, 2 Celebrity ships and 2 Royal Caribbean ships in port with us, which is making me think that I will just drink up my share of an excursion cost at the pool bar instead!!! :pass: :pass:
As for the ATV, I am less than excited about that part of the tour (we have ATVs here on our 40 acres in the Sierras, and they aren't as much fun as everyone makes them out to be!!), so I really don't think Tony will be missing out on much!

Joanna, this might be a blessing in disguise. I had been considering staying on the ship in Cozumel because of all the other ships in port, but really wanted to do the speed boat. Now that that is not an option, the idea of staying ship-bound is so much more appealing. I assume the spa will be open, food will be available, bars will be staffed and open, etc, while we're in port?

This is second time speed boats have been cancelled on us. First time was in Grand Cayman where we were in theater ready to take tender when they said excursion was cancelled because of unreliable vendor. They gave us a nice credit for that "last minute" cancellation.
Still waitlisted for parasailing in Key West. :(

OH MYYYYY YES I have stayed on few times and loved every minute of it - did you book spa appts? I think Marcie gave phone # to call...you sleep in, have room service on balcony, grab lunch on pool deck, grab drinks, take a swim, read your book, grab another pool drink with the best people - just a chill day

So, Marc, you're the one who jinxed the speed boat?!!? ;)
Joanna, no spa appointments made. It was such a port intensive itinerary, I didn't think I'd have the time (plus, I saw the prices, and, with no OBC to my name, I wasn't sure it was worth it). However, now that I'll probably be onboard all day that day, it might be worth looking into. You are definitely making staying onboard sound appealing, especially since we don't get there until noon and are only in port 7 hours.

OMG that many mega ships????? Whew so glad we did not book any tours. Nancy and I have 9:00 spa appts or something like that, and we were just going to get off and walk to the end of the dock, assuming we would be at the town dock and maybe go to that neat restaurant right there and have a couple of margaritas and a bite to eat and then come back to the ship. Hmmmm, maybe we will join the pool bar group, sounds a lot more fun and a lot less people. See you there Joanna and whomever else.
