I know from experience that foreign countries will only take "Newish"/ crisp American bills....no crinkled or old used ones.
I realize 99% of everyone here already knows that, but there maybe a new traveler reading this thread.

How do they decide whether or not to put water in the pool on the Mariner? Is it based on air temps? Or calendar? Something goofy like the pool closes after Labor Day? Well, I guess that wouldn't apply for Caribbean itineraries. Must be something else. Those who have sailed in the Med in the Fall, what do you think? Will we likely be able to swim some laps?

I thought it had to do with how rough the seas are? It was warm on our fall Med cruise and the pool had water in it as long as we weren't in bad weather. As soon as it starts to slosh out of the pool they usually drain it.

I can't believe we leave next week.... just want the roofers to finish with our new roof and solar this week so we can even get to our luggage.  We've waited such a looooooooong time for this trip to finally get here. Getting so excited!

we don't fly out until Wednesday afternoon (via Frankfurt) and I just packed....this is definitely a FIRST for me to be packed 48 hours before our flight. It was just way too ez, guess lots of practice is paying off.

Downloading Rick Steves' walking tours of various places. Finishing up laundry. Most of the clothes are in suitcase, but not really packed. Just don't want to leave too much to the last minute as things (like work) tend to demand attention unexpectedly sometimes. Flight to Rome Thursday evening, connecting to Istanbul Friday morning.
Haven't been on board Regent since Sette Mari. Is it buffet like La Veranda is for breakfast and lunch?
