Karen, at one time (before Regent days)we had the Gold AmEx with the Membership Rewards. When we decided to cancel the Gold and get the Platinum (to get shipboard credit) we never lost any MR points so apparently the points were just transferred or ?? Anyway, never lost any points. We still have the MR account though it just sits idle with points in it because we NEVER use the Platinum card, only the AmEx Starwood. Not sure if this just made any sense at all....I usually know what I'm trying to say but no one else does (so my husband says).
