I wore the shoes out on LAMB, and then had them bronzed!! This trip I'll be taking boots.

Valerie, I have watched that video on the internet several times. You were SUCH a good dancer! Can't wait to meet you in person! I know we are on a cruise together in the future!

Olivia - you are going to love both she and Chuck. Valerie, if you only wear boots, you know someone will ask you to remove them and show off your routine. After all, you are now a star!

Wow, I didn't realize we were going to be cruising with a celebrity!! As many here can confirm, Tonya and mine's dancing ability is determined by a complicated formula based roughly on amount of wine consumed to ship sway ratio. Add a degree of difficulty on formal nights!
We enjoyed reading about your fun time on LAMB and look forward to meeting you guys on board.

We aren't cruising, but we are going to finally make the trip to Scotland that we had to cancel last year because of Rich's illness. May 13-19, not nearly long enough.

I'm sure Pam that it will be extra special, after all that you went thru last year. Have a wonderful time.

Looks like we'll have a decent showing on our SFO-YVR cruise. The 4 of us here in Wash DC are eagerly counting down the days. Of course, I'm just eagerly counting down the days I get to finally go to the Boeing factory tour. Alaska is just a bonus for me! My priorities are always 1) Airplanes 2) Everything else.

We're also goingn to do the Boeing Factory Tour (we live only 100 miles from it -- somehow it seems easier to take a shore excursion:-)

Not even sure how to pack on this trip - freezing outside but mild inside. This may require a new packing list!

5 weeks from today! Packing definitely will be a challenge. From what I hear, May can be unpredictable in Alaska (I guess that goes for just about every month in Alaska!); we’re hoping that we run into a warm dry spell! Tonya and I got some 50% off end of season deals at Hudson Trails. We both got a light waterproof shell jacket that we can layer with some fleeces depending on the weather. Also we are going to try out those space saver bags for our bulky fleeces and thicker things. Hopefully that won’t end up making our bags too heavy. We’ll see.

We should be getting our docs any day now. That’s when you KNOW you’re getting close. We look forward to meeting everyone.

We're on the May 16th QM 2 "crossing" from Southampton to New York, following our 12 day transatlantic on Sea Dream II from Barbados to Malaga, with 4 nights in Madrid and 3 nights with friends near London.

It's getting closer. Our tickets should arrive by Tuesday or Wednesday!

As far as dining reservations go, we made reservations for Latitudes on the evening of the Seattle stop (May 19) and Signitures on May 22nd which is the Tracy Arm Cruising Day and our wedding anniversary! Any and all are welcome to join us. So far we have tables for 4 on those nights.

We thought about Latitudes on the 1st night, but we didn't see it available. Also, we thought about not being tied down to a reservation time just in case the weather is nice on the sailaway, and we can be on deck while we sail under the Golden Gate Bridge!

Thanks for reminding us about the Golden Gate Bridge (haven't been to S.F. in years). Hopefully the weather on the west coast will warm up -- we're (Seattle to Vancouver) having record breaking low temperatures (snow, etc.). Right now parts of Alaska are warmer than we are:-)

I think this was the cam we used to watch the WCers but I can't figure out how to get control of the cam, lol. Whoever is controlling it now just zoomed in on the bridge.

We did the doc dance last night. I was going over the shore excursion details and I noticed that if you go on the Mount St Helens excursion, you will be there exactly 28 years to the day from the eruption (almost to the hour!)

It's almost time to pull out the suitcases. I went online and got the average temps for our ports:

San Francisco
Sunrise: 5:59am
Sunset: 8:14pm
Avg High: 65
Avg Low: 51

Astoria
Sunrise: 5:39am
Sunset: 8:46pm
Avg High: 60
Avg Low: 46

Seattle
Sunrise: 5:27am
Sunset: 8:46pm
Avg High: 65
Avg Low: 49

Prince Rupert 21-May
Sunrise: 5:27am
Sunset: 9:51pm
Avg High: 54
Avg Low: 41

Skagway 23-May
Sunrise: 4:09am
Sunset: 9:48pm
Avg High: 61
Avg Low: 42

Juneau 24-May
Sunrise: 4:13am
Sunset: 9:39pm
Avg High: 57
Avg Low: 42

Ketchikan 25-May
Sunrise: 4:20am
Sunset: 9:08pm
Avg High: 57
Avg Low: 43

Vancouver 27-May
Sunrise: 5:57am
Sunset: 8:24pm
Avg High: 57
Avg Low: 42

Can't wait!!

Dad and I (Bill) are Apr 30 - May 10 on Voyager from FLL to Hamilton and then on to the Azores. Dad's a seafarer from way back and wanted to do a crossing. He is not much for leaving the boat. Leaving Mom behind, bless her, and the boys will be on the high seas together. Dad has done Navigator a few times with Mom, but this is my first Regent.

Bermuda on the Saturday the 3rd, and Horta disembark on the 9th. We have more than 24 hours in the Azores due to flight schedules, so I'm looking forward to Pete's, the famous bar for mariners.
