Hi ,

Any news about when the rest of the 2011 itineraries will be published? I saw them briefly a couple of weeks ago and then they disappeared (or maybe I imagined it??).

Happy New Year!

Just got an email with Summer 2011 cruises. Here is link to schedule. Is anyone interested in the 10/13/11 Navigator Montreal to Ft Lauderdale 15 night cruise? Per diem is much better than European cruises we have been taking last few years.

Interesting that there isn't a GAP in the fall of 2011.

OK Kathy - I turn my back and you get on another ship! I like the sound of this cruise but am not sure about doing it on Navigator.

Edited to ask - any opinions on the 12 September San Francisco to New York cruise?

Even though Jan B said she would not go
on the Navigator ever again she noticed
the 10/03/11 -10/13/11 New York to Montreal
and has some interest.

Think we have more interest in one of the Atlantic crossings.

Mariner:
03/23/11 - 04/07/11 Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona
11/20/11 - 12/14/11 Civitavecchia (Rome) to Fort Lauderdale

Voyager:
11/28/11 - 12/12/11 Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale

Mariner is doing 01/11/11
14 night Fort Lauderdale to Lima
through the Panama Canal that originally
caught our eye until all the flooding that took place and they have no idea when Machu Picchu
will be available. Could be over a year.
This is 1st segment of South America tour
for the ship.

Lee, I am really interested in the Panama Canal cruise. That would make 3 falls (actually 2 falls in the northern hemisphere and one spring in Australia) in a row that we would be together. I like that pattern!

Jim - Unless Peru is hit with another catastrophe (such as Alberto Fujimori joining the Shining Path movement that he managed to almost wipe out), there appears to be very little chance that Machu Picchu won't be back to normal a few months from now, much less next January. There is some pretty good dope on the situation there on the CC South America board. The Peruvian government and Orient Express (which runs PeruRail and the two expensive hotels - Monasterio in Cusco and Sanctuary Lodge at MP) have a huge interest in getting things running again. Cheers, Fred

Thanks for pointing out this cruise to Sth. America. I missed it as I was looking for something after June. I find it interesting that there is nothing to Asia, Australia or Polynesia. Has Regent decided to move away from these destinations?

Really?
There was something I read that said
with the railroad tracks being washed away
it could take a very long time to repair.
I hope you are right.

Andi, look at the WC, that is when they go go Asia. I think the other months are "off" season for Australia (winter) and Polynesia (wet season)

I have no recollections about what they do when and where in the past and have no idea about MP and when it will be open again.

The email Marc linked to was the NEW 2011 cruises just announced. The WC and early 2011 has been out for a long time now. These new cruises are supposed to open for booking on Monday and should be on the web on Monday or before if all goes according to plan.

No Grand Asia Pacific or Discovery Cruise in the fall of 2011. Only long voyages are the World Cruise and South America cruise in early 2011.

We have made some decisions on escorted cruises. These are not on our web yet of course and I will add those when I get off the Mariner and back to my office.

Voyager 2/23/11 - Sydney to Beijing - 25 nights part of the world cruise (on our website already)

Voyager August 19, 2011 - London to Monte Carlo - 14 nights.

Naviatgor October 13, 2011 - Montreal to Fort Lauderdale - 15 nights (great value in comparision to the 10/3/11 New York to Montreal)

Voyager, November 28, 2011 - Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale, crossing 14 nights.

We have some time in here to do more trips but not decided what yet. Need to see what you all want to do in the available time left. Of course ROAR is in April/May in 2011.

The Montreal-FLL sounds like a nice trip, wrong time of year for us of course, but interesting, especially the Saguenay.

Too bad they can't spell Charlottetown, hopefully they will when the itins go up on the web.

Maybe we should start new threads for all of the escorted trips. We need to build "new cruise" excitement.

The forum is up. When Ngaire gets home and has some time, she can post her escorted cruises and I will pin the post to the top of the forum and we can go from there.

Marc, feel free to post any topics there in the meantime!

Thanks for the advice Karen and Joanna. What I like is that we haven't been to many of these places and it ends in NYC. Sorry that Karen and Mark can't make it, but Joanna, how about you and Tony?

We are also looking at Ngaire's website of the Yangtzee River Cruise.... that looks nice too.

2011 is going to be busy for us. 71 day South America circumnavigation (did it in 2006 and liked it so much we're doing it again plus the last year larger ships can go to Antarctica waters); ROAR 3 in April, then New England in the Fall (signed up for both but will likely do Ngaire's escorted Montreal to FLL)

Andi, did you look at the WC itinerary? It sounds like it has places you'd like to visit OR come to South America with us. South America has everything from "soup to nuts"...the most diversified itinerary IMO.

Carol and I are committed to do the Montreal to FLL cruise but would really be up for the SF to FLL or NY cruise in the future. Maybe Regent will do it again in 2012. The ITNs that stay within the US make the air so much easier these days. We also like the longer cruises and have learned to really like the sea days.

With ROAR 3 , FUN 2 and the Monteal to FLL in 2011 that just about fills in 2011 for us.

This one looks really cool to us:
Mariner October 31, 2011 - Barcelona to Venice - 10 nights

I don't see the Navigator October 13, 2011 - Montreal to Fort Lauderdale on RSSC.com. But if I calcuate the days correctly based on the itinerary listed in the "preview", you all would be in Gloucester on a Thursday and that would mean I'd be out-of-town and miss the chance to
see you. sad

Marcie, We are doing DINGO in November/December, ROAR in April, so with work, I need to spread things out to (July to December). We are really open to Sth. America...isn't it the early in the year? We were thinking of Silversea Antarctica in November or China River cruise in September if nothing else pops up. We love to cruise with friends, but nothing on Regent in second half of year seems right. Am I missing something?

OMG!!!!! That stinks Diane!!!!! It would seem they'd give preference to their past single cruisers ... 100% a joke - reminds me of credits from Regent we were awarded from ING (Viking) that HAD to be used for future cruise, of your choice, IMMEDIATELY - what's the BIG deal with letting credits sit for 6-12 months????
