Well, gang, it appears that my pestering has finally paid off. Just made the initial deposit for the December 22, 2007 sailing on the PG. Yes, it's a long way off but that's okay by me. My cruise notebook is made with 14 tabbed sections (OCD I guess...). We are booked in suite 707. I know I would have kicked myself if we did not get the balcony.

I'm sure I'll have questions as the time grows nearer but for now I just wanted all my LCT friends to share in my excitement. But tips and suggestions are welcome anytime.

You will love it Robert. It's the only cruise we've done on Regent and we plan to book another for 2007, soon! We have our eye on the Tahiti-Cook Islands-Tonga-Figi itinerary in May 2007. Perfect!!

I could hardly believe my eyes when I looked over to the topic starter after I read "Booked PG December 2007!!!" Congratulations Robert! It is about time for you to actually be able to enjoy a cruise. I'm guessing you are the only charter member of LCT that has not cruised to date.

The PG is sure a great way to start!

Robert, great news, kudos for Paul and you...my suggestion is to print out El Quailo's review (on the B&K site) and include it in your notebook--he offers great tips and believe he did a pre cruise too...we also had 707 back in 2005, great choice. Do either of you dive? If not, and if you ever have thought about it, for FP, becoming certified before you go is well worth it. One of the highlights of a balcony is to order breakfast room service about 7 am and watch the PG sail into the Motu or any island for that matter. Don't forget you water mattresses, water shoes, swim goggles if you do lap swimming. We'll be going back on the PG in May 2009 for our 25th, so help us pass the time by sending seamail or a review or both...

Thanks for the well wishes, gang! Guess the PG is the best way to get our cruising feet, er, wet. No divers in this lot, but a few snorkel excursions to be sure. Totally tracking with all the rest, Colonel and thanks for the link. Of course there will be postings while on board - you don't think I'd leave y'all behind, do ya?

We were in 707 last time. It's a great location and I think you will be really happy there.

You must realize you are pretty much starting out at the top. Most of us worked our way up to Regent after trying some of the other lines that don't provide quite the level of service you'll find on the PG. You will be spoiled forever for anything less, I hope you know. :)
