Hi from somewhere in the Atlantic! So far, we are having a wonderful time. Embarking in Miami seemed to go smoother than FLL and we got onboard around noon. Dinner last night in Compass Rose was outstanding, after dinner drinks with new friends and I must of been having a good time as I stayed out much later than usual.
Two sea days to Bermuda...... and at 4:30 this morning, we were awoken by the sound of the thrusters. We looked out the balcony and we were parked in front of Senior Frogs. Since we went to bed late and were still loopy from being woke up, neither one of us could figure out where we were and why we were at Senior Frogs. It turns out we has to turn back and we docked at Freeport to disembark a sick passenger. From what I hear, he is doing well and needed some tests that couldn't be done onboard.

Today is sunny and supposed to be around 70, it's time to go up for an early lunch since we slept through breakfast wink Trivia and bingo later today.

Is that Senior Frogs or the restaurant/bar Senor Frog?

Kathy, I didn't go to the CC shindig so I am not sure how that went.

We have been having lovely sunny weather with temps in the 70's, just perfect for me. Tomorrow is Bermuda and I hear there is a good chance for rain.
Today our trivia team (Frank, Wendy, Alun and Wendy) came in second. We were pretty proud, the room was packed so we beat out quit a few teams! We played bingo afterwards, I won one game but had to split it with 2 other people sad

Tonight was the Captains welcome dinner. Not as much pomp as my previous cruises. I was surprised that their were no candles or slipcovers on the chairs. The menu was good but not as elaborate as usual....I love me my pomp so I was a bit surprised.

Time for a movie, and the tv has a HUGE selection. Every Oscar nominated one plus a long list of others. This is a good thing because the tv station selection is the same if not worse than usual. A few news channels and a bunch of ship's channels

I will check in again tomorrow!

The CC Meet & Greet was very nice - in the O-Lounge at noon. Lots of people, good food (than you August) and drinks (and the bar staff). Nice to put names with faces.

The calendar and ship picture magnets are neat! Thanks Jackie!

And thanks to Ann and Shel for organizing the M&G.

Nice to hear from people on board always makes me feel like I am there. However as I am in Shanghai be quite a trip to join them.

Karen, congrats on almost winning trivia, you have a good team there and a doctor in the midst too, that always help. Give the "down unders" my best. Always enjoy travelling with them. Bet you win for sure soon!!

Look forward to your future posts.

Rachel, Bermuda was just lovely. So clean, friendly and beautiful. We did a ships tour that was so much fun, a boat tour of the rich and famous homes which were beautiful old homes on the water. This was our first tour and it wasnt crowded and no "herding" in the theatre. I havebeen trying to post pics but the connection here on the poorol deck this morning is too slow. David, sorry for my spelling but my auto spell is possessed!

We came in second at trivia today, so close but yet so far wink Today during trivia, it was so windy that one of those giant rattan chairs on the deck outside of the Mariner lounge flew over the railing and it was quiet the site to see. Then the chairs starting slamming into the windows of the lounge and crew rain out and secured them.

Tonight was dinner at Signatures and was very good, tomorrow is the past passenger party and then dinner with Tina and her mom and another couple.
I am going to attempt to upload pix again, so far it's been a no go. I can upload them to Facebook but not to photobucket for some reason.

Wow. That was, no doubt, some strong wind to blow the big chair over the railing. Hope that wind dies down for you. I'm sure you enjoyed dinner with Tina and her mom. Keep having fun!

That wind blowing the chair off would have been something to see. Be careful and don't stand too close to the railing. We don't want to hear you were blown off as well.

lol, Rachel, Karen is so tiny that is probably a good bit of advice! I hear the seas were like glass on the ship yesterday. Hope it continues that way for the rest of the trip!

get another lovely day, calm seas and not a cloud in the sky. We just had our second muster drill, which I guess is the new norm for cruises over 14 days. We are sitting at the pool bar, listening to the Captains noon announcement and

Haha, my last post looiks like a crazy person typed it. Not sure I will get very far with this post, etither as internet service seems worse than usual.
Last night we had reservations at Prime 7 at 8:00, we got there and I had the date wrong and the reservations were for tonight, lol. They wre bookied ful so we went to La Veranda/Setti Mar and it was French night. We had the best meal of the trip so far! Mark had escargot and I had the crab stuffed mushrooms, I could of just had those as my entree and would of been a happy camper, they were SO good. Tonight it reverts back to Italian. And I think we actually have a reservation at Prime 7 tonight wink
Our trivia team has been placing at leas 2nd every day except yesterday, we STUNK! I am goihng to blame it on the Bloody Marys!
Weather has been so perfect, all days except the windy day. I am so happy to have sunny skies and calm seas. Tomorrow is our first port and it's Funchal. Lets hpe the weather stays nice. I better post this before I lose connection, i will try to post again after prime 7 if I can stay out of the casino. I wond $125 on the slots last hnight~ wink

WooHoo, Karen! Congrats on the slot win. The other Trivia teams will now, no doubt, underestimate you and let their guards down. Very crafty strategy!

Yesterday was Funchal and we did the tea at Reids palace tour. Lovely old hotel that is popular with the Royalty so I pretended I was on downton abbey smiles Our tour got in late so no trivia. I guess all of the tours got back around 5 so probably not many showed, could of been our only chance to come in first, lol. Todays pool grill lunch theme is seafood, my favorite one! And tea theme is choclate so I will have to wear a tent to dinner. Tommorow is Casablanca mosque tour and I am excited for that!
