OMG, is this what you did? http://www.skyjump.co.nz/?Add=1&IDAdd=1066571118 I think I would have had a heart attack! I can't imagine Karen doing that upside down thing off a bridge if she didn't like rapelling! This seems worse in some ways because there is no water below.

Our horizon suite is very nice - we just took tender to Russell in Bay of Islands and walked around - reminded me of small Martha's Vineyard - Tony got haircut there & we ate yummy ice cream - I feel fine but thought I had beginning of a cold so saw the Dr at 8:01 am when his office opened - I think I will be fine - dinner last night was fun and so was time in Mariner Lounge pre dinner -following dinner Tony and I sat on our balcony and watched them untie, 11PM, the ship etc and off we went - tons of people on balconies of Hilton Hotel right next to ship waved good bye to us - city of Auckland looked so beautiful at night lit up for as far as you could see - we keep losing signal in our cabin so posting from new coffee bar - people on this cruise (not just LCTers) are so friendly! We just bumped into a woman from Ponte Vedra - small world - we had breakfast outside La Veranda this am - I love that area - can you believe Karen and Marcie jumping from top of SkyCity Hotel?? - amazing - this is a wonderful group of people - we are laughing 24/7 and that is always indication of good trip! More later - scallops tonight -

No no Joanna - no you can't get sick. Take something - anything - wine will help!!! <img src="http://smileys.sm...if%253Fi%253D15_1_61/image.gif"> Sounds like everyone is having the best time. I love those Horizon Suites Joanna, and Marcie, even though we've never been in one, they are my favorites. Someday............ Thanks for all the seamail everyone, keep it coming. Meanwhile, we are supposed to have a storm here on Wednesday, but we never get much here in DC, so not worried!! But its cold and windy today. Looking forward to lots of partying from the LCT'ers. BTW, can you beat 4 wins in trivia on a single cruise?????????????? That was the CROSS team total, thanks to Gaylord (aka Frank). Bet you can top that guys.

So glad you are off to a good start. Who knew you could find Goat World, too, in NZ?
Bungee jumping off the Sky Tower? Can't wait for the photos.
Glad you agree that coffee bar is terrific. It's a great new add to Mariner.
Keep on a comin' with the sea mail .....
cheers, Anne

Love the seamail, thanks Joanna - but hope you feel better!!!
The Horizon Suite sounds so wonderful - and I always love that when they "untie" and you feel that first movement of the ship. And the lights of Auckland...I am green with envy!!!
Can't wait to read the next wave of seamail.

Thank you for the seamail.
Joanna, you can't let that cold progress. If you or anybody in the group has Airborne, take some of those. During the first days of CROSS I kept feeling the start of the symptoms but I kept taking the Airborne and it went away!

Hi again Had the most wonderful tour this morning - catamaran circle of Bay of Islands, including Hole in a Rock. Sound exciting??? Several of us were wondering if we had made a bad decision in booking this tour - but it was fantastic!!!!!!! I can't remember when I've had such a good time. Beautiful scenery, great traveling companions, we sailed through the hole and saw the cathedral cave, that they couldn't promise we would even get to see. Absolutely perfect. It's 3 PM now so I need a short nap before muster drill and to be rested for whatever tonight brings. This is a wonderful group to be sailing with. Everything perfect so far. Well, if you don't count that I don't have my Mariner bearings totally down yet. I keep thinking I'm on the Voyager. :D With 3 sea days ahead I will have plenty of time to explore. As long as I can find my cabin, the CR and a lounge, I'm one happy camper.

Yes Jim, I am replacing you but will likely disappoint! Jan emailed me several weeks ago asking if I would be on their team. Jan and I have been on the same trivia team 4 times now I think!

Played trivia with 3 other Canadians and sob only had 8 correct, but thats ok,the winners only had 9. I forgot the vegitable was an onion and I knew that one tooo....darn. Better get ready almost time for the muster and then its time for a manhatten at Stars....oooo I have to remember to behave perhaps I'll have an ice water instead...ya right !!!says Ray from the background.

Anne, I don't watch it, but I can google!
The Sky Tower is one of the most visible landmarks in Auckland and, at 328 metres, is the highest tower in the Southern Hemisphere. It was a daunting challenge for the teams to climb to the 300 metre high crow’s nest. One person from each team also had to take a leap of faith - jumping off the platform at 192 metres.

Good morning from the middle of the sunny and mostly smooth Pacific ocean. Yesterday was our stop at Bay of Islands, New Zealand and though we didn't do much, we really enjoyed our time there. I think we tendered to Russel (the tenders were going to two different areas) and it was just absolutely charming! This charming port had the most amazing smell of flowers and sea breeze that I have ever encountered. Since it is spring here, flowers were busting out all over the place! As for our bungee jumping picture, I will have to remember to ask Ken today if we can get it scanned some how or another. Anne, Marcie was so brave that I do think she would make the best Amazing Race partner for me!!
I am just typing random thoughts here so bear with me but the coffee corner rules now! I love the computers that are out in the hallway, I like not being stuck in the computer room. We had our first BK cocktail party before dinner last night in the Stars lounge, I got to meet TedC for the first time and he is delightful! This is day 3 or 4 (not sure, lol) and I have yet to meet Kiwi Dave! Dave, you must say hi when you get a chance! What a great group of people we have here. Ralph and Carol, Valerie and Chuck are some more of my first meets that I am really happy I have had the chance to meet!
We are at sea today so I plan to spend a lazy day at the pool deck just lounging and reading. Mark is probably going to play poker today.
Marc, we are up to 4 tokens so far!! Mark kicked 5 other ladys butts in ring toss yesterday, that's my boy!! Then I sent him up to the chipping contest and he came in second and won another token for me. My lofty goal is a new Regent bookmark, which is probably 100 tokens ;)
So far, food and service have been spot on. At the pool deck, in the lounges etc, you barely have time to sit before you are attended to. Food has been fantastic but so far I can still fit into my clothes, I don't know how long that will last.
I think it is time to quit rambling and there is no spell check on this pc so I better quit before I embarrass myself. I think I just misspelled embarrass ;) xoxo
Karen Live long and prosper

I think Karen has it backwards.....my face is white with fear and panic....Karen is smiling and looks like she does this every day!
Today is the first of our two Wednesdays! Tonight's dress code is formal and they have the Captain's welcome party. Tomorrow's Wednesday is informal. Very strange but at least we're getting the day back that we lost when we flew to Auckland and crossed the Int'l date line.
We are REALLY loving this horizon suite...love going out to sit on the balcony without blowing away. Also it's great when one person wants to sleep in and the other can go into the separate living room. How ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm after they've seen Par-ee ??
This has been a GREAT cruise! Like most, it's all about the wonderful people we're with (the super service and food doesn't hurt either). This afternoon there's a Texas Hold'em tournament in the casino before trivia....can't wait!!
Off to eat breakfast in La Veranda (like we need another meal!)
Marcie

Hello from the beautiful South Pacific. This sea day has started off very lazy and a smooth sea. It's wonderful. Karen and Marcie seemed to have covered everything the group has been up to. I'm spending this 1st sea day doing absolutely nothing. There is a ballroom dance show as the entertainment tonight and I want to go to that. The most interesting item on the schedule in Passages today is a "discussion" on "Who will be the next President of the U.S." Can you just imagine the "noise" this will generate? And they are holding it in the card room - such a tiny place. I'll be avoiding that entire end of the ship during this hour. :D The noise will probably be deafening. I can't repeat enough how nice this group is that we are sailing with. Very witty people who love to laugh. It doesn't get any better.

Sorry to disappoint but there isn't a photo scanner in the computer room. You'll just have to use your imagination picturing us whacko's....and we hadn't even had a drop of liquor. Trust me, it was Karen's idea...not mine!  I think Mark had dared her with a BIG surprise if she did it. :)

Good Morning! Just finished b'fast outside LV little windy but nice - lamb chops on menu could not resist - we gathered in Stars Lounge last night and then moved into CR - had table for 9 and ate with Carol and Ralph - LOTS of laughs!!!! My cold is under control and has not stopped me from eating, talking or drinking Sambuca so I must be getting well! The new coffee bar is busy right now (Donna next to me bet she is on LCT)- I agree it is fun to sit outside computer room if you can grab one of the 3 exterior computers - 3 sea days - perfect R&R - I sat on balcony yesterday afternoon trying to "bake" my cold it was hot and sunny- today think I will try the pool - food has been really good and the people are such a fun mix - everyone seems to be enjoying this trip - my fridge was full of Tab BUT it is Energy Tab in little container with cherry flavoring - never heard of it so switched to Diet Coke with lime slice that'll work for me - I am people watching right now at coffee bar and typing sooo interesting - think I said earlier people are soooooo friendly - more later - Joanna

Yes, Joanna was partially right. I TRIED to get onto LCT but for some reason my computer slowed down to a crawl. So, I'm in our cabin on deck 11 and so far the internet is fast as lightning. Go figure!
Seems like most of the topics have already been covered. Marcie and Karen were AWESOME at bungy jumping. Something to see!
Mariner is in great shape and food/service are wonderful. Congregating in Starz before dinner is so convenient. I'm still meeting people and wish we all had our names tattooed to our foreheads! But, everyone is delightful. Such a pleasure.
Alan and I tried La Verandah last night. I had the best lobster. It was grilled and served in a chile sauce.
We are having a hard time dragging ourselves away from the penthouse balcony. Plus, having a butler is making us fat. Now we have to eat and drink before the pre-dinner eating and drinking which is then followed by dinner drinking and eating. Then, there's the nightcap.
Guess I better go exercise so that I can eat and drink some more!

I think Amazing Race 13, with Team Karen and Marcie using the RSSC ships as their exclusive mode of transportation is a winner! Think of the action shots as the crew gets our lucky LCT ladies first in line for their detours, roadblocks and, of course, first place on each segment. Those zodiacs will get quite a workout on THAT world cruise.
It's got potential, folks!
Cheers, Anne

Marcie, If the bungee photo is on a camera card the computers in the computer room has card readers attached and you can copy them over. If it's on someone's laptop, copy it on to a UBS flash drive and put it on LCT. Wolf or Theresa can help you with that.
Betty, Barry does the "Next President" discussion every segment and he has several other subjects for sea days. He moderates it very well so there's no shouting and nobody hogs the time - give one a try. Jim
