Just to let you know that Clyde just became a great grandfather yesterday-- a little girl named Abigail. She weighed 7 lb.,5.5oz and is 21 inches long. Amanda and Masaki I thought of you two immediately and wonder if your due date is changing or is it still the original? (I forgot the exact day). Sarah was only one day late!

Congratulations, Jean and Clyde! I love the name Abigail.

WOW!!! Hope I get to be a Great Grandmother someday - we have 4 little Grandchildren, but they are sure a long way off from making us Great Grandparents - that is so awesome - CONGRATULATIONS to both of you!! My 92 year old Dad is now the Great Grandfather of 6, I'm sure it won't be long before you guys have more than you can count.

Jean, Congratulations! I love that name, it is so old fashioned, just like mine (I was named after my grandmother!) I don't think I will ever get to great-grandkids before departure/check out time. But I am surely looking forward to grandchildren! Enjoy, and tell Clyde hello for me. We are looking forward to being with you on MUSH, which seems a million days ahead. I know my brother and Clyde will become great pals!

Thanks, all, for your congrats and best wishes. I only wish we lived closer to them but they live in Alexandria and of course we are down in Florida. But we hope to visit them this summer. It's especially nice that theyhave a little girl because there are only boy grandchildren on Clyde's side.

I doubt, Olivia, that I'll ever be a great-grandmother, either!! My twenty-something grandchildren have no prospects in sight and the little ones (10, 13, 15) have a looong way to go!! But I'll enjoy Abigail vicariously and hope we see her grow up.

Can't wait til MUSH to see all of you again. It seems a long way off, doesn't it? Meanwhile, we have a 47 day cruise on Seabourn coming up in October! Whew, I'll weigh a ton after that one.

WishI could join you today for the little Fishette's shower but I don't know how so I'll wait for the pictures. I'd post a picture of Abigail, too, if I knew how!! Trust me, she's adorable!! Jean

I read this morning that Olivia was the fourth most frequently given girl's name last year, and Abigail the sixth by Social Security records.

Jean - Clyde - how wonderful to have little Abigail to enrich your lives! While my grandchildren are certainly in the right age bracket to make us great grandparents, they are obviously not in any hurry - one of these days - ..... Have a great time getting to know Abigail - even if it must be by emails and photos.
