Since you've the time and money, I'd do a back-to-back on the PG instead of the (1) 18-day Mariner cruise or (2) 7-day cruise on the PG with pre- or post-cruise added on. Especially if you have an interest in scuba diving. But, that's just me! Focus on diving the first week and excursions the 2nd. Or mix it up however it works with the weather, etc. Two motu mahana days and 4 Bora Bora motus days?! Unbelieveably cool!

I love sea days, but six of them? I wouldn't want to leave FP if I had 6 vacation days left just to get to LA and not have to fly from Papeete.

Good luck deciding. Probably pros and cons to all options. You'll have a great time which ever you choose! SusanW, is she back yet?, will have good advice.
