I have a cute story about Lynsey and John. I was on the Mariner xmas cruise and playing bingo. John was a singer and social host at the time and Lynsey was a dancer. John had just picked up a diamond ring and informed us he was going to propose to her that evening. They became engaged on our cruise. The next time we travelled with them, it was on the Voyager and it was about 18 months later. This was their last cruise before their wedding. He was now the asst. Cruise director and she was the social hostess. I am so glad that they are back and am looking forward to seeing them on MUSH. Is Barry Hopkins on the Mariner or Voyager now?
We have never seem much rudeness on RSSC. One cruise had a drunk who abused his wife and created a scene. Another cruise had one family who pushed their baby carriage over everyone's toes and were quite self centered with regard to their kids' behavior (however, the kids were pretty good..it was the parents). We have met folks we tried to avoid because, personally, they weren't our type of people, but they were not rude. Of course, there was the infamous Diamond cruise we heard about with the children and another cruise with obnoxious teenagers whose parents (I think four couples travelling together) gave them free reign. We understand that these teenagers ordered EVERYTHING on the menu for breakfast and RSSC delivered the orders. The teenagers didn't even it the food. This caused a delay in other's orders, since the teenagers consistently abused room service. We have also heard of cruisers who have abused the wait staff in the Compass Rose. However, these were isolated instances and not a number of passengers. Mrs. Moose, I'm sorry you had to experience such a rude selection of passengers. I thought perhaps it was a particular age group that was grumpy, but 40-60 seems to cover quite a large range. I hope you try cruising again.
