The next probable merger/takeover..... US Airways taking over American Airlines will probably even be worse based on the current US Airways record (America West took over US Airways 4-5 years ago) and still have not totally merged the operations seamlessly. At least my prediction is that the surviving name will be American Airlines with the existing Aadvantage program and remain in oneWorld rather than the combined remaining in StarAlliance.
