We like Bank Direct (have been with them for over three years, first 2 1/2 yrs were fee free until this Jan) and we originally got 40K AA miles per month, but throttled back our deposits once AA entered bankruptcy. The $14 monthly fee is now modestly painful but the 240K AA miles we earn yearly eases the modest pain enough to keep our BD accounts open.

We also opened and closed numerous Fidelity and TD ameritrade equity accountsfor Delta and AA bonuses.

Peter, thanks for the Carlson tip--will now consider our pts for AA miles.
