Sorry - I stand corrected!

Yes, I did keep my Continental number and had points combined. But it seems things may be drifting more toward the United way of doing business.

I was traveling in South America when the official switchover happened. It was a nightmare! Our flight down was a Continental flight. The return, although originally booked as a Continental flight, was converted (at the midnight bewitching hour) to a United flight number ... our reservations were totally lost in cyberspace.

Regardless of who bought who, I'll miss Continental.
