Capt. Badger,
There is nothing stupid about asking your question. The only thing you can't do on this web site is be nasty! "Stupid newbies" is unacceptable at any time, so ask away there's surely some savant on LCT who is willing and able to answer your INSIGHTFUL queries. No one is allowed to use the "flagellatio" either on themself, or others!! BTW, what does RTFM stand for?- I can think of several, but don't know for sure...

Capt.: That is always what my brother always tells me at work when I ask a question when he doesn't really know the answer. I figure he has been practising for almost 30 years, so why can't he mentor me a bit as a late-comer? I guess he wants to make me feel like the lowly associate that I am. I can tell you, there are no "stupid" newbies on this board. Those questions get asked all the time from newcomers, and no one should ever feel intimidated to ask. Just shortcuts, that's all! All the abbreviations are listed separately on a thread at the top of the roll call section. There are lots of them, hard to remember all! MINT may be one of the largest collection of cc/lct people ever! And it is almost a cruise to nowhere, since the itinerary is not exciting unless one has never been there. Lots of sea days!

LOL...never heard that one before! Any suggestions for an abbreviation for the World Cruise??...(it is the Voyager January 5 World Cruise if this spurs your creativity)

JHP,
thanks for the explanation. I wasn't sure what RF meant, I was definitely sure what the f_ _ _ _
meant but I thought the M stood for "moron!" Just goes to show - "there's always something"(thank you Emily Latella!)

Marcie,
We are putting your request to the test down here in La-la-land, and will advise the results. Karen's is just fine, so if you elect to choose her acronym before we get back to you, that'll be okay too.

"Mint" will be our second Radisson cruise, My wife and I were married last October and were on the Voyager Oct24th Athens to Barcelona,we had a wonderful time. Two years ago we booked a sampler cruise out of San Juan on Mariner, but due to mehcanical problems it was cancelled, so heres are second shot at Mariner, very excited about having a Penthouse suite: and it seems like its going to be a real party.

Thank you everyone, I cannot believe the rate you guys got at the Westin LAX, I am a Starwood hotel Platinum member and could not even come close to that rate: I will be flying in on the 10th and right now I am torn between the Westin Century Plaza, or the St. Regis, or the Westin LAX, I have never been to LA before, but my wife has, does anyone know how far it is from the airport to where the boat departs, or from Westin Century Plaza.

Thanks
Frank

You can add the "old timers", Jean & Clyde to the "MINT" group. We are veteran Radisson cruisers but have not met any of you nice people yet. Ngaire assures me we will be welcome and I can't wait to meet all of you. November does seem like a long way off and btw we cancelled a Silversea cruise in September to be able to join you all on this one!

I forgot to mention that our suite is 817. Are you all meeting at the Westin the night before the cruise or what?

Priceline bidding for this is EASY. Go to www.priceline.com and bid on a hotel. Click on "Hotels", click on Los Angeles, select the right days (11/11???) and checkout days (11/12!), hit next, click on LAX, click next, click on 4*, enter $60, you might have to enter your personal information at this point. Anyway.....4*, $60 and LAX and you get it!!

Welcome Jean and Clyde to the 7 days of festivities also known as MINT! And hopefully, we'll see you at the Westin LAX before the cruise itself as well!

Well, we certainly would not put that on your daughter-in-law! Especially since it is the women (daughters or those in-law) who help us in our old age! We have to save our favors due! I can't even remember when we are getting in, but it is after dinner. I don't like to commit for my daughters traveling with me, as they can be even more cranky than me after a flight.

Guess my thoughts about dinner.
Westin is suppose to have a nice place.
After flying all day, checking in, I kind of like to stay in one place and relax.
Since everyone is getting in at different times it would be difficult to go away from the complex.
And last but not least.
After having a few toddies I really have no buisness wandering around LAX.

Jim, you wouldn't want to wander around LAX even without toddies...it's an airport, and a lousy one at that!
