We've just received our docs (hooray) and are wondering if anyone here will be joining us? We met such great CC people last year on the PG, most of whom are now here!!

And, any tips on excursions? This is the Eastern Caribbean RT from San Juan that visits St Barts, Dominica, Martinique, Barbados, St Kitts, St Thomas.

We did it last January you will have a great time - I loved St Barts and Barbados..I would rent a car in St Barts but we have been there many times so that was easy for us - very small island you could do it - do not take the rafting trip down some river in Dominica - awful - Joanna

Thanks Joanna for the feedback - we've been hearing the same thing about St Barts.

No, we haven't been on the Diamond before but Gordon has wanted to for years - we're so excited and just counting the days!

it was the first cruise we took in sept 2003 (2 weeks Italy & Greece) and loved loved the Diamond - yes have been on the Voyager and it is wonderful with some more perks - however, would go on the Diamond again in a heartbeat - and did in jan 2004 the trip you are taking -

Have sailed the Voyager & I love the closet & bathroom on it, but the Diamond is still my favorite ship. I think it must be the size - or that gorgeous dining room.

Joanna, I loved the Rafting/Tubing trip in Dominica! I thought you did something else! That's the excursion I "wrote home" to lct or cc about when I was there two weeks before you! It was my very favorite excursion, and I think we must be talking about two different ones. I also enjoyed in Dominica, a morning tour that I arranged through Ken's Hinterland Adventures or something like that (google it or go to cc Port boards). Because it was private, we were able to get back to the ship in time to get the ship's tubing excursion. We had a native Indian guide who was wonderful and took us to the falls and the Emerald Pool. This was my favorite island on the cruise for land adventure.Rebecca and Gordon, I know you will love the Diamond! Cabins are about the same as PG, just smaller than the rest of the ships. But their balconies are to die for! My very favorite as they are so private!

Olivia you did the ok trip - we did the dumbest excursion....got on a school bus type thing and drove for 90 min to some sorry river and then got in boats (canoes) and went down a sorry river to a makeshift hut where they served you lousy drinks - it was terrible and sorry I never complained

Olivia- You are right ...I ahould have said NO canoe trip - OK rafting trip - Joanna

Thanks all for the info, particularly on Dominica - it's probably the most unknown quantity for us.

Also - we always try to go horseback riding while on vacation - can anyone make a suggestion for an island or a stable that's worth doing?
