Ngaire, I notice on the Regent website there is no mention of the free excursions for the Asia/Pacific/Tropics sailings included under the free excursion listings. Is there anyway of finding out for these areas? I realise that Asia/Pacific is World Cruise, but there are seggies who may be interested, including myself.

Ngaire, thanks! We will need you to let us know the best set of excursions in St Petersburg to see as much as we can in the three days taking advantage of Regent's free/reduced excursions.

It looks like we will save almost $3000; of course, in some locations (e.g., Nafplion), we might have opted to just walk on our own instead of taking a tour if we had to pay.

The Tropics and Asia/Pacific are not ready yet but as soon as they come out I will be sure to post the link.

Thanks, Ngaire. those links really help and beat anything I can find on my own and the RSSC website.

Thanks Ngaire. The free excursions are awesome and I bet the hard working staff on board ship will be pleased as many more guests will probably get off in port for longer periods. Will await the Asia/Pacific excursions.

Ngaire - These are only on certain sailings aren't they? The Tracy Arm excursion isn't listed on 9/9/09 sailing - is it likely to be? It seems to be a 'must do' excursion. Lee

Do not know about the Tracy Arm excursion you will just have to wait and see what is on the final list of excursions. So much is still not accurate on the web so just give it a little time.

Wonderful information, Ngaire. I looked at excursions for our 10/30 cruise, and found there's nothing listed for one of the ports, Valletta, Malta. I wonder what that means. Also, not all excursions are listed. Does that mean they're full price?

I will not have all the answers. Wish I did but all I can really do is share the information as I receive it. I did check though and they said the list is NOT complete that they are working as fast and furious as they can to get everything in place. We just need to be patient and check 120 days out for our specific cruises.

I believe in another thread Ngaire explained that this clause means anyone on a travel agent discount fare or, say, a journalist on a reduced media rate, would not be eligible for the free shore excursions.

Yes, I remember the clarification. I also received the e-mail and something else from the language caught my eye.... "capacity controlled". That sounds like language from FF awards program in which it doesn't matter there are X number of seats available, the airline decides how many will be given "free"(Ie with miles). Is is the same way with the Free excursions? There are just so many free spaces they will allocate to the Free Excursions program?

Maria there will be certain excursions that just can only take XXX number of people. Just like there are now when you pay. They would have to have a disclaimer to cover this type of situation.

Any offer from any company these days has more "small print" than anyone can imagine.

I would not worry. I believe there focus in going to be making this program as successful and popular as they can and acting like the FF air programs certainly would not accomplish that goal.

New Questions....Can I pick everyones brains(who have been here before) as to which tours will be the tops in Norway? II realize its all subjective, but they all look so great.

If I list what we are interested in,in certain ports, can you advise?

I'll put our choices down in the next day or so .......thnx.
