So booked another cruise. (We leave for the Caribbean on Feb. 25th) with our favorite group. This one is for July to the Baltic; we've been there before. This time we will skip going to Moscow on the suicide planes. New ports for us this time: Warnemunde, Gdansk, and Riga. So looking forward! Took the upgrade for business class air. So tell me about Regent's air program. Do they pick you up before the cruise and get you to the airport at the end? Do they take you on a little tour? We land in Copenhagen, and though we've been there before, I thought it was lovely, and would love to see it again. Maybe everybody will be asleep due to jet lag? Anyway, some of you will know! Think it is fun to have two cruises in the bag! :app:

Since no one else has yet responded to you, I'll put in my two cents worth!

We have used Regent air several times. They will provide transporation to and from the airport on embarkation and disembarkation. Depending on the time of your flights, they may provide a city tour en route to or from the airport. Sometimes they may also provide a day use hotel room if there is a long wait for your flight.

We flew into Copenhagen last summer on Regent air - we were in business class on SAS (it was our first time on SAS). It was an outstanding flight - great service, comfortable seats and decent food. Our flight arrived just about boarding time, so we went straight to the ship without a tour.

We have typically been happy with Regent air and the flights they book us on.

Our experiences with Regent air have been very very good. Excellent flights, meet and greet service although we always go in a day ahead at least, no issues whatsoever - but that is our experience.

We have used Regent air several times and have always been pleased. They do a great job. I can understand your feelings about the two cruises. We have three booked this year and are really looking forward to them.

Question?? If you use Regent's air....must you also use their pre- cruise hotel plan or are you able to book hotel seperatly?

Ray,
We normally do our own hotel arrangements when we use Regent air and usually still get Regent transport to the ship from the hotel.

Just to clarify the policy of transfers.

If you do your own hotel you are not entitled to the transfer from the hotel to the ship. If you are at a hotel with a Regent representative you can see if you can negotiate directly with them for a transfer. This is part of the local land operators program and the pricing will be what that local land operator wants to charge you. You cannot buy the transfer from Regent before departure.

If you are Titanium then these guests are entitled to a land transfer from their own hotel to the ship as part of their tier benefits.

Doing air through Regent gets more complicated all the time. Sometimes it works well and sometimes it does not. It is all governed by contracts and the airlines are charging more surcharges for certain itineraries. Some of the business air is an incredible value and you cannot beat it. I posted this once before and think it is helpful for everyone to understand all the pros and cons of using Regent Air.
