Probably not my last ones, tho.

Where does the Voyager dock in Key West? From this web site
http://www.keywestcity.com/depts/port/cruiseships/cruiseships.asp
I can see that the SS Navigator docks at Mallory Square. Can I assume the Voyager does, too? I've been watching that web site since April and they have had November 2004 listed since then but still haven't added December.

Can I assume there is 110 voltage in the Voyager suites? Is there a hairdryer or should I pack one?

Where and when would be a good place to set up a LCT and CC "meet and greet"? Since we dock in Key West at 8am on day 2 and are at sea on day 3, will they do the life boat drill on day 3? OR will we rise and shine at 6 am to do a drill? Maybe day 2 after we leave Key West would be good time to try to meet each other. Or since we leave Fort Lauderdale at 5 pm on day 1 maybe before dinner the first day if everyone isn't totally exhausted from travel.

Now, I am really getting excited. I picked my excursions yesterday. And I see that I have tentative airfare, some conflicting schedules but at least I know my flight numbers. Two schedules show the departure time about 10 minutes different. Who cares. I'll be there.

I've packed my dinner wear and will be packing day wear as soon as it gets cool here. I'm so excited!!!

Oh, you are going to have so much fun! We were on Voyager last December (it was a chocolate themed cruise).

Voyager docked at Mallory Square when we were on her, but if I remember right, another RSSC ship happened to be in port, too, and docked at the Naval Pier. Key West was our last port, and we were there overnight.

There were a couple of 110 volt plug-ins, but they weren't in convenient places. The one that was at the vanity thingy didn't look like we could use it, because it was so close to the wall. There was a hair dryer but I didn't try it so I can't tell you if it was powerful enough.

I don't know about your life boat drill, because I'm almost positive we had ours immediately after we sailed. We had our meet and greet right after that, in the Observation Lounge.

Colleen, I can answer a couple of your questions...yes, there is a hair dryer in the cabin and it's quite good (not like the wimpy type that are attached to the wall in lots of hotels)so no reason to pack one. There is 110 voltage in the cabins as well so no converter is necessary on the ship. I think a good meeting place would be in the Observation Lounge (front of ship/Deck 11). I think you may want to meet & greet on the first day. You will have your lifeboat drill on day one, usually about 1/2 hour or so before you sail (as I recall). You could do your meet & greet a bit later when people have cleaned up and are ready for dinner (more of a cocktail hour). Who knows, you may hook up with others to dine with your first night. I wouldn't wait until day 2 or 3 for your meet & greet...best to do it as soon as convenient. EVERYONE seems to get their 2nd wind once the ship sails (no pun intended).
You're going to have a great time!!

Sorry I don't know anything about Key West.

Muster is usually BEFORE sailing, so that you can go to the party for sailaway. Both voltages are available in the cabin. You can't use the hair dryer in the bathroom. I would do meet and greet somewhere up on deck during sailaway! We did that on VJ7 where we had about 12-15 people. I remember being way up on top, over the pool, then I remember being at the pool bar, or maybe that was on the Diamond. Who knows, maybe these were two different cruises! (I get Black Sea in August mixed up with VJ7!) Definitely meet on the first night, otherwise, the cruise will be half over almost by night 3!

Do your meet & greet at Ngaire's sofa in the observation lounge. I don't remember if we did it before or after the sail away party on NorForj. So it must have been after. It is RSSC's fault I don't remember - all that champagne and the rum drinks. As you all know, I would have never done that on my own. cheer

Thanks for all the answers. OK, so we will muster before we sail. On the PG we didn't have the drill until the morning after we sailed. I'd rather have it right away then we can meet before dinner the first night.

No converter and no blow dryer needed. Great!!!

Now I need to get into the attic and find some packable Christmas decorations.

I'll be back with more questions as they come up. I still don't have a room assignment. Guess I shouldn't get too antsy. I know it's sold out but I'm sure we'll have something.

Colleen, antsy not! If they don't have a regular suite, they will just have to upgrade you to one of those really big ones! RSSC has its act together and I'm certain they won't overbook, especially since money has traded hands. A little tree will be fun, just like Marc said! About muster, I think the rule is that it must be within 24 hours of sailing, so the next morning is the latest, because then dinner and excursions get in the way. Better to get it out of the way in the beginning. Dying to hear what it is like over New Year's since we will be on PARTY. Maybe you will join us for an encore!

Ngaire's sofa? Sounds like a good place for us to meet on December 19th. I would love to know the history behind this famous sofa? Must be a great story.

How do we know which sofa is Ngaire's?

Paul, I just posted on another thread. I may come borrow your scale.

I went to American Airlines site and put in FF numbers, got an updated schedule and picked new seats (aisles across from each other - we are both big and hate the middle or window).

I'm so ready to go but I actually have 2 trips in November first.

Colleen: We always take aisle and aisle too - I can't stand the window seat or the middle - makes me feel less claustrophobic
