We cleared customs and were off ship at 1020. By 1030 we were already esconced in a cab and rocketing to LGA. We arrived at LGA at 1050; through security by 1100, and sipping drinks in Crown Room soon thereafter. It will be hard for me to believe the horror stories about New York arrivals after such an easy debarkation.
We had a great time, all things considered. We really like the Navigator; the Deck Six cabins are just so convenient. No problems with vibration even though we ate lunch on back porch of Portofino and ate dinner in aft central section of Compass Rose. Also, no problems with workers on walkway outside our room. I know these are all "personal" observations so everyone is going to have to decide for themselves how much is too much vibration and how much is too much worker activity.
I have still have four hours of computer time (Pat, you still have four hours, too). Anyone sailing Navigator please email me and I will provide id and password.
Ngaire, do you think it is possible to have a location on your site for us to privately exchange this info? It would sure be nice for us to use up all of this "paid" time.

You are right that it's a personal thing as to the vibration but when the wait staff can give you the numbers of the tables were the vibration is really bad in the dining room you know there is a problem. As I like to enjoy conversation with others at the table without the constant chatter of the engine and vibration I would suggest avoiding those aft center tables - once we spoke with Patrick we were always seated at wonderful tables. Again this is a personal preference for me to not have this much of a movement/vibration while I eat. It didn't make for a pleasant dining experience for me. It is widely acknowledged that this ship has a vibration problem when underway at full speed and those that may not want to experience what I did should be aware of this area in the Compass Rose.

marc - I didn't notice much - or any - vibration on our Navigator trip in Feb, either. And we hit one or two short storms that had us rocking and rolling a litte. And Kat - to be honest - we sat at the same table in Compass Rose (or at least in the same section) near the very rear. No problems there either.

MArc, WOW - You made a great getaway! But it IS midweek, and I guess you were the only ship there? So you are talking a few hundred people instead of the weekend crowd of Thousands!
We'll be on Navigator in only 56 days. But who's counting.
A Bad day at Sea is better than a Good day on Land!

Welcome back, Marc. Glad you had such a nice time. Todd and I really enjoyed Navigator. Couldn't have been more conveniently located, either. After this, I've really begun wondering why people are willing to pay more for higher decks. What am I missing?
Again, welcome home.

Marc, It's good to here that you had a great cruise. The more I hear about Radisson, the more I look forward to my next cruise. Only 3 months to go.

Marc and Arlene,
So glad to hear you enjoyed the cruise despite the problems involved with MaryAnn's fall; hope she continues to recuperate! Please keep us posted!
Did you take a "regular" taxi or a car sevice to LGA? Your experience with security certainly sounds better than ATL!!

Gil/Kathy:
Regular taxi but we said to take "fastest" route. We took the west side highway, cross bronx expressway, and triborough bridge. That meter sure seemed to climb fast while we were heading for Albany but we sure did make great time.

Welcome home Marc - your posts were great and fun to read - glad you had a good time. We are sailing on Navigator Sept 22, with ChatKat and Frank, and can't wait. Already counting down the weeks. We are on deck 6, suite 601, so am glad to hear you found it quiet and convenient to everything. So glad Mary Ann is doing better, and you all were able to complete your cruise, please give her our best wishes for a speedy and continued recovery. JoAnn

Hi, Marc:
Regarding vibration, the first time we were on the Navigator in June '02, it was noticeable. Then, when we took her again in April '03, it was much improved and pretty much confined to the show lounge. (And this is with the realization that all ships vibrate some.) So, it sounds as if matters have improved still more.
Some of your fellow cruisers have reported being told the whole line is going all inclusive on a ship by ship basis. Did you hear anything of this?
Thanks, Richard :) :) :)

I talked to same source as you, Jan Novak. He implied that they weren't going all inclusive, save the world cruise.

I echo Marc's word here I would be very surprised if they went all inclusive except for the World Cruise. I hope they build a new ship but I am would not put a penny on that right now either.
Over the years I have learned that the rumors fly wild and furious over these types of issues. For instance the rumor is still going strong that Crystal and Radisson will merge. I get a call on that often - how long has that rumor been out there, a couple of years now I think. I doubt there is any substance to that rumor either.
Rumors are rumors. When it is announced then it is reality.

I agree:
This rumor has "floated around" so much that it is like the little boy who "cried Wolf." All would doubt it if it were true.
I am most anxious to hear ChatKat's source on this.
Thanks, Richard :) :) :)

I had dinner with both Joe and Heather and another night with the F&B Manager Rogerio. He told me they were going all inclusive ship by ship.

They won't get to the Voyger in 140 days will they? LOL, somehow I don't hold out much hope, but it would be wonderful!
