As some of you know my Voyager 10-8-05 we now know has ben charterd from under my nose. My TA spoke to RSSC which told her that they are in the process of sending letters out and we can expect $250 per person compensation. I was furious!!!! My TA suggest I wait for the letter than we will start the you must do better than that bit. This turly stinks. I am ready to never travel RSSC again.This year alone I have already sailed their line Twice and four times before that. To quote a line from pretty woman "BIG MISTAKE".SO the SAGA continues!!! Macy

At least it is a year off not a week from now and since it is so far off you most likely only have a deposit on hold not full payment. Perhaps since there is so much time until that cruise was to be they feel that is just compensation and you can book another ?

I agree, that does stink. I would hope for better from RSSC. :(

Macy, I know how you feel, as it is very disappointing having a cruise canceled on you. I have been through this twice, both for reasons of dry dock on the Navigator and Voyager. Mine occurred much closer to sailing than a year, however, and I was pleased with both compensation and the cruises that I substituted. I still have so much to see in the world that just about any cruise is fine with me so long as it has some new ports! Hope you will find a way to look on the bright side rather than leaving the line completely.

I had my first sailing rerouted. I got the same $250 per person. However, I was able to talk Radisson into giving us Cat H Mariner rates even though no Cat H were available at that date. This saved us another $1000.

I think the $250 has been pretty consistent from past reports when cancelling well in advance.

Macy, I think Marc's strategy is great, and reasonable for the cruise line. Even though you wouldn't get a "check" in the mail, if you chose a rather full cruise that had sold out the lower cabins, you would still have "compensation".
