Just checked Gold Points acct after 1st RSSC cruise and it appears we were awarded 5 points X $ for 1 pax only, not 2. Who to contact?

Thanks!

Hmmmm...I wonder if you contact Radisson or the goldpoints center...is it possible that you have two different goldpoints accounts and that the points for the 2nd pax went into his or her account?

Were you awarded x5 for the total amount you spent? I just went through this, and it appears that I am getting all the points for my children who travel with me, it just goes into my account instead of separate ones. I am cashing point for the first time for my next cruise. Nice to see that credit on the invoice!

5 points X $ amount for 1 pax only. As far as I know, only have 1 account, got the # from RSSC online booking form a few months ago.

I had to set up separtate accounts for my wife and Sarah and then link them to a single "Goldpoints Reward Network Household" account. You can set up the individual accounts on line but must have signatures for the Household account. If you call the number on the Goldpoints website ,I found them to be very helpful.

You shouldn't have to have separate accounts. I woulds call RSSC in Ft Lauderdale. They straightened ours out, but it took a little while.

Kathy:

Was your cruise one of the two for ones? For Navigator, we got half the goldpoints we should have received. I should restate...we shouldn't have gotten any as it was a two for one. My TA and I agreed that half a loaf is better than none at all so haven't questioned Radisson.

Then have your TA contact Radisson. I did that once when points weren't posted. I would assume same approach for fixing partial. But now I wonder if something is screwy all around as we had exact same issue as you with only half points awarded. I would appreciate it if you would post resolution when it happens. I might be interested in also getting my other half of points.

thanks,

Situation resolved...contacted B&K by e-mail on 7/6, just checked Goldpoints, additional points credited 7/7; thank you Jennifer!! :app:

Explanation is RSSC changed software a short time ago. Also, she said better to have 1 account.

How do the gold points work for Radisson? Is it 5 times the amount of the cruise and onboard money spent?

It looks like maybe we have only half our points also. But my brain doesn't work like it used to either.

Ginny,

I believe it is 5X$ spent on cruise fare, doesn't include onboard purchases. A novice here, I'm sure the veterans will let us know. :)

Ginny - gf (Kathy) is right - it's cruise fare only. Hope this helps! cheers, Anne

Ngaire, jump in if I am wrong, I think you get 5x per person for your first cruise, and 10x thereafter. Only on net cruise fare, no port charges or extra charges onboard for excursions and such. And on Ngaire's individual pricing lists, she points out on the 2-for1 cruises that Goldpoints are not available. That's what confused me when I was tallying what I was due. I still have no idea whether I have been credited with 2 cruises for which I booked multiple rooms. Too late to fret about it now. On my next cruise, I had a sweet $400 credit, and have enough for the next one, too!

5 x for your first cruise and then 10 points after that as usual Olivia you are correct.

When you have problems RSSC wont normally help anymore. You call 1-800-508-9000. This is the gold points line. To find your balance hit option 2 then enter the number on prompt then you get your balance. From memory to talk to an agent and lodge a request for unposted gold points hit option 9. They need booking number, amount of cruise information like that.

ONLY points for the actual cruise fare but that is the RSSC cruise fare prior to the B&K or any other agency discount.

Marc I agree. If they messed up and gave you gold points on a 2 for 1 dont ask ANY questions.

Olivia, one gold point number per cabin earns the points for both people in the cabin. But a gold points holder (even if they pay for both cabins) cannot earn points for more than one cabin.

However, if a family has a "household account" where parents and kids all live in the same household and have the same address and hence all have the same gold point numbers and two people on the household account are in two different cabins then both cabins earn to the same gold points number. Hope that is clear.

Thanks everyone for the valuable information on the gold points calculations. Welcome back, Ngaire!
