I've been searching the web for our 25th Anniversary dream vacation to Tahiti on Radisson with a pre-stay on Bora Bora. That's how I found this forum. It's been really helpful! I've also gotten information from this sites agency. Now, my questions I hope you can help me with. Both my husband and I have cruised before on Celebrity, HAL and once on Carnival this summer and have taken land vacations mostly to the carribean. We're certainly sun/water people!

I've been waiting to book this trip, hoping for some specials to appear for a trip fall 2005. (free air, etc.). I came across the company that recently bought the PG and their prices for this spring/summer seem much cheaper. Has anyone used them before, and is their price TRUELY less, or is there a catch?

Also, I'm pretty sure I'll pick the Pearl on Bora Bora in a OWB for our pre-stay. Any comments on this facility?

I was looking at the monthly rain chart for Tahiti and was wondering what everyone's experience was during the month of October? Is it much dryer than their "summer/rain" season?

We'll be flying from NY and debating whether to use Radisson air or try booking our air separate. We usually do separate air, but in this case, I'm thinking of going through Radisson and letting them handle it. After looking at the flights on ATN, I can't seem to figure out what day/time the best flight would be. I was also looking at the direct flights that will be starting out of JFK, but it doesn't seem to correspond with the pre-stay on Bora Bora.

Let me thank you now for all your help! I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goes by. I'm really looking forward to the "Radisson Experience".

babs, welcome to LCT! Re: GCT, their prices at first blush seem low..their 10 day cruise is really 7 with a 2 day land reset (altho they throw in 2 free days at the new Radisson hotel). The free air is only from LA/Papeete.

Ngaire posted earlier that RSSC changed their policy on free air to Tahiti and lowered their cruise fare but you pay full fare ($1300) for the air..B&K offer summer fares from $1620pp and all of their T/A's are superb..they may be able to get you and even better deal..Recommend you give them a shot..at least you will have a comparison before you make a decision...We use them and will do a back-to-back this March..have fun..r/wes

Wes, thanks so much for your advice. As I get closer to booking this cruise, I will certainly give B&K a shot. The people in this forum seem really nice and they also seem to have high regard for B&K. Lucky you going on a back to back!

Andrea,
Thanks for the reply! I've been digesting everything I can find about Tahiti and I've also been reading tahiti-explorer.

No problem! I was planning a trip to Tahiti for next year, but decided to do the Med instead. I was so glad to have found tahiti-explorer for the future.

I researched through tahiti-explorer, too, when planning our trip there. Mostly as a lurker, but they are really a helpful bunch. Sort of reminds me of this board.

Babs, a big welcome to you! Ask away, lots of us have been on the PG, so you can do a search right on this board without even asking and have your questions answered about pre-cruise hotels, excursions, post-cruise, best airlines, it's all back there somewhere! If you can't find it, just ask, and we hope you will participate in sharing your excitement about your upcoming cruise!
