Got my docs today, so time to celebrate :app: It means the Japan/China trip is really just around the corner. Love the new packaging! My drawer of mustard-colored folders will now be joined by a gray folder which has a zippered pouch. Maybe I'll even carry this one with me--I never trusted the others that I wouldn't lose something. And the lit is in a nice, glossy format in a size that will fit in a purse or tote, rather than the old 8-1/2 X 11 booklet that was always awkward to fit into anything.

I loved those ticket holders for the Grand Pacific Mariner cruise. VERY classy. Wish they would use those for all cruises. You will like it Marc when it arrives I promise.

my PG Cook Islands docs came in the old mustard-colored leather folder, but i swear it is even bigger! No problem tho, will just transfer into my old purple PG zipper pouch.... i like the pouches better too! now if they could shrink all the documents down to passport size, that would be perfect!

Congratulations Crystal on your docs, it's great to experience the thrill however vicariously.
I too have one of the old PG purple pouches. Very convenient, the zipper, although I admit I have been using the beige pleather ones when I get them. One of these days I will have to get rid of them--maybe we could sell them on Ebay!

I am jealous! We leave in ten days and our docs have not yet arrived. The rumors are that they will arrive today, Saturday, by DHL. It is the worst service we have ever had. FedEx is much more reliable.

This is great - multiple doc dances breaking out around the globe! Hope all of you enjoy every minute leading up to, during, and after your trips. Some wonderful itineraries coming up!!
As for Ebay.. perhaps LCT could pool their collection of pleather document holders and get a listing in Guiness Book of World Records.
Alternatively, maybe J Lo could find a way to use them in her new clothing line??? Linda & I will take on the serious responsibility of accessorizing those outfits.
Cheers, Anne

Congrats and Bon Voyage to all! I got mine in the mustard colord thing, I found them to be "big" for womem's purses and for men? Breast pocket? I don't think so, lol.
As for delivery, I had them delivered to hubby's office because they said they would be coming via "courrier" and needed to be signed for. Well, the courrier, just left them outside on the floor, the office was open with the front desk staffed at all times by a receiptionist, but hubby found "the package" sitting in front of the door, with no one having signed for them or even knowing that there was a package there. :(Thankfully he saw it and all is well.

From what Ngaire posted, it appears that the gray folder is being used just for the Grand Circle Pacific and its segments.

What's happening? Our docs just arrived for the entire Grand Circle Pacific trip and there is no nice doc holder. There is just a huge brown pleather one. My hopes were so high.

Congrats Crystal! It won't be long now.....
We have RSSC tan folders, a brown and a black (used on WC) but never seen a grey one. None of ours have zippers either. It sounds nice! Maybe we'll get this for SAMBUCA cruise in January...?

I use my navy blue "Seven Seas Cruise Line" (before the Radisson days) doc holder. I think it's even real leather!
It's probably a collectors item now, I should put it on Ebay ;)

Yes, it is bad service here from some courriers. Didn't mean to imply it was RSSC fault, and all I cared about was "getting my docs", lol, and yes that should be my biggest worry since they are no good to anyone else

I would love it if RSSC changed those awful pleather doc cases into something else, it doesn't even have to be leather! How about a zippered smaller thing in one of those vinyl woven materials? I always transfer mine to a wonderful leather case I bought probably 30 years ago, but now the snap in the closure is breaking apart from the flap, and crazy glue doesn't work to put it back. I would love a zippered number like Karen talks about. Karen, can you post a picture, like you used to with your tote bag from the PG years ago?
Jean, when I know my docs are coming from a certain courier (can't remember the name, but it is not UPS or Fed Ex, starts with an A.. I think) I always get them late. You will get them in plenty of time for the cruise!

Masaki, that's the one! We never know when they are going to show up at the office. Didn't know it was the same as DHL. Peggy, have they changed their name? I see DHL in our parking lot as well.

I have a fantastic navy blue 8"x12" zipper bag from our Song of Flower cruise in 2000(it has RSSC printed on one side and m/s Song of Flower on the other). It's made out of the same heavy duty material as the soft side roll-aboard suitcases. I've just been leaving our docs in whatever Radisson sent us, but after reading this thread, I think I'll start switching things to this zipper bag.

The grey folder was very similiar to the mustard colored one except a nicer material and there is a small zippered area inside. It was a Grand Circle Pacific voyage. Not real leather but a much nicer grain of pleather! I never see the tickets as I have someone who handles sending them all out but I happened to see these on her desk. I will ask tomorrow what is coming in the new grey folders.

We are doing Grand Circle Pacific and did not get the new grey folder. We received huge tan ones that we immediately threw in the trash. The tour booklets are small, about four inches by nine inches and very compact except they no longer have the maps of the areas or the history. The ports are arranged alphabetically rather than in the order they are reached. They are much more practical in some ways.

Olivia, here the the blue doc holder. I like it's design, there are plenty of places for credit cards, docs and passports. There is also a zippered compartment for money and it has a snap closure. Plus, it's a much better color than that mustard yellow one! ;) ![[Linked Image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/iamtribble/docholder33.jpg)

Our docs arrived from the TA today. We received the gray folder too, in fact since we are on three segments it came in a nice black ultra-suede bag. Perhaps thats from the TA?
The shore excursion books are like the HAL books instead of the old letter size. These are 4x11 full color and very nice. I do miss the port maps, but I am guessing that they will be available on the ship. The shore excursion books seem to include several excursions that are not on the website!
