We're dancing here too - FedEx comes on Monday when I will be just off the Monster of the Seas and eagerly awaiting another Regent Experience!
While I am planning on a good time, I am certain I will miss the RSSC service and amenities.

I should be dancing, I leave three weeks from yesterday. But once again, the DHL driver has decided that my address doesn't exist. I've only lived here for 26 years. Debbie and I both just got off the phone with DHL, I filed a customer complaint, but they don't know when I'll get my stuff.

Hi, I've been lurking but had to post when I saw this. I just had the same experience. Three (and a half) weeks before departure, I got a phone message from DHL that they had attempted delivery twice and didn't know what to do with my package. Meanwhile, no delivery notices or knocks at my door, nothing. I had to go down to their warehouse to get my docs. FedEx and UPS have had no problem finding my place (been there 8 year, BTW). Why does Regent use DHL?

It is the TAs that choose which delivery company to use for tickets; Regent's only responsibility is to get them to the TA.

My package was sent with NO signature required. The driver just didn't bother bringing it to my house.

It's here! Now I can dance, too! I think I scared those people into bringing it back. My phone number was right on the front of the package, there was no excuse for them deciding not to bring it earlier.

I'm dancing for you Pam! According to Debbie, ours should arrive tomorrow via Fed Ex so hopefully no screw-ups! (I wish it was UPS just because our UPS guys are all so cute around here!)

We used Fed Ex for a long time had same ridiculous experiences. So then we moved to DHL. We actually use both now depending on what each client prefers. Price wise we have found them to be about the same. One is cheaper in one area and the other is cheaper in another area.

It is frustrating - delivery by these services is not cheap.

Since Memphis is home to Fed Ex, some of the competition might have problems keeping experienced drivers.

UPS does well in my area, too.

Ngaire, you might go back on DHL; my package was guaranteed to get here by 5 and didn't get here until after 6. A guarantee is a guarantee, and Fed Ex would refund.

We use them all for our business stuff too. All Hit and Miss. They all screw up some of the time. We prefer delivery to us by UPS only because we know our driver - same one on our route for 20+ years. He knows what to do when we aren't here and will re-deliver to us the same day when he does pickups if we're out. Similar situation with FedEx on some deliveries. The AM driver is regular.

We've had stuff lost by every one or mis-deliveries. It's all the luck of the draw. Who cares about the refund or the broken promise? I just want the stuff to be where it's supposed to be when it's supposed to be!

Yay Pam!! So glad you got your docs. Dance away!

I've had bad luck with both DHL and Fed Ex at work. Recently I sent a large package to Peru because a couple of my SVP's were giving prospect presentations. Even though I indicated on the form that these were business documents, they still held them in customs for an extra 2 days, and when they were finally released DHL wouldn't deliver them until we paid "storage fees".

Marcie, we used to always see UPS guys taking their lunch breaks in Acacia Park - maybe if you go for a walk there around lunchtime you can catch some "eye candy"! <img border="0" alt="[naughty]" title="" src="graemlins/naughty.gif" /> ;)
