It has occured to me that sun dresses may not be optimal while in the Baltics this summer. I'm always cold anyway and clearly remember freezing my ... well... entire self one August in Berlin.

Ted can wear khakis and a polo shirt but how often can I wear black pants, black pants, black pants?

I will most likely be too cold in any other skirt or dress but I could wear capris? Can I? I don't belong to a country club. What else is country club casual? Tan pants, grey pants? Fitted T-shirts (not Hanes, not cotton)? I'm planning on layers for day time like short sleeves but a jacket with it. It's dinner that has me confused.

We have 2 semi formal nights and I'm bringing a black long skirt and ... I don't know.. something else... not a problem there.

Black pants, a shell in black or another color and silk jacket or something similar. Coldwater Creek or Chico's are full of nifty jackets and makes packing easier.

Colleen,

For your tours, Capris, jeans, and Khakis are just fine with tennis shoes or sandals and t-shirts. Bring a lightweight jacket for day.

And for evening, black pants with a twin set, a gypsy skirt and tank or blouse, anything Chico's or Coldwater Creek are great. Don't forget a wrap if it's chilly. I packed light and wore Chico's Black Traveller Pants several times with several tops and different pashminas and scarves and sparkly things.

Same black pants, multiple times, change top. Hum, I think I have some long gypsy skirts so I won't get cold. Wonderful ideas.

I wonder if I should stick with all black bottoms - dressy pants, casual pants, dressy skirt, casual skirt, capris, walking shorts - to keep the mix and match for the tops simple.

Two words...Chico's Travelers!!

Seroiusly, I bought a few pieces in the traveler's collection and they have served me very well on multiple cruises. They do not wrinkle, are neither too warm or too cool, and the best part...they stretch!!

Black pants every night with different shirts or jackets works has worked for me on many, many nights.

Colleen, I don't have a Chico's here that has the good stuff. I just buy what I think will travel like a hankerchief, and keep it that way. My favorite things are often found at boutiques nearby. Thin little tops you can put over a shell that are dressy.

There's lots of lightweight travel clothing out there.

Colleen - Chico's close to me (and they call pre sale) CC 30 min away but I seem to see great CC stuff on cruisers - I wear black pants 75% of the time and throw in 2 or 3 skirts - lots of tops it works!!! Joanna

We have Chico's and Coldwater Creek in the same shopping plaza. But I already own tons of black stuff so I may look to round out with a few colorful tops if you don't think black every day is too much black.

In the evenings, it really doesn't really matter what the weather is outside, you are inside in A/C weather regardless. Just bring whatever you would wear in the summer for a cruise. Even in the Baltics , it's summer, so white (or colorful) pants or skirts are still ok (at least in my book!).

BTW, when I did my Baltics cruise it wasn't cool at all.
