Andi, what a great story!!

Denise....how lucky you are!! I saw the Stones many years ago on my birthday. At that time my brother was the USA promoter and surprised me with a front row seat! What a great experience! You're going to have such a great night!!

Doug and I also have tickets for Carol King at Radio City Music Hall.

We have a college friend who is friends with Kate Taylor (James' sister). About 2 months ago we went to see her at this small club and Carly Simon (ex-Sis in Law) got on stage with her). That was a pleasant surprise.

I have had some great (and awful seats for McCartney over the past 20 years). THese seats look pretty good. I can't wait until ROAR to grill Ngaire on what they looked like YOUNG. I must admit Paul wasn't as cute at 40 as Doug. Richer. Perhaps more talented. But not cuter. Linda was much better looking than she photographed.

Hey! Wait just one dog gone minute!
Just because i'm cuter today that the SIR, doesn't mean that I am not as talented as he in ALL things.

Sure, he plays a vast number of musical instruments and I am limited to playing the radio or CD player.
Sure, he has more money than .... (please fill in the blank here, you won't be wrong.)
Sure, he got me to shell out a couple hundred dollars to watch him on stage for a few hours, & I really doubt that he'd pay bus fare to watch me on stage.

BUT.....
compare our spouses. The women who chose us as we chose them.
Frankly, I win hands down... he just doesn't have a leg to stand on in this one.

Masaki,

This is part of Doug's comment:

BUT.....
compare our spouses. The women who chose us as we chose them.
Frankly, I win hands down... he just doesn't have a leg to stand on in this one.

EDITED (Sorry for the error. I was confused with her actual accident and her tireless efforts and involvement in erradicating landmine-caused tragedies throughout the world).

"Doesn't have a leg to stand on" - Sir Paul's wife lost a leg in an accident.

"She was involved in a road accident with a police motorcycle and suffered injuries that included crushed ribs, a punctured lung, multiple fractures of the pelvis and the loss of her left leg below the knee. Realising that her career could now be over, and with no parental support to count on, Heather summoned the waiting press into her hospital room and sold her story."

Doug - For shame!

You're correct, Suzie. Early in the morning for me and I got my facts jumbled. I edited my original post.

Well, Karen caught it. Joanna, too.
Denise had an edge since she knows my warped sense of humor after traveling with moi more than once (you'd think that the girl would learn!)

Now, everyone run to all of my other posts to see what I may have hidden in my comments there! Extra points to the high scorer!

Dear Doug,

I know your sense of humor too well - Like minds, you know!

A "footnote"....Are there cryptic messages in all your posts, Doug? Do we have to read them backwards, like a Beatle tune?

If we keep this up, there won't be a "sole" reading this thread! Our LCT friends will then give us the "boot!"

"Paul is dead"? :D

Thanks for the explanation ... forgot that Heather had lost a leg. Perhaps if I had remembered that, the joke would have come to me sooner.

Denise - double groan at your puns ... :)

Masaki, just think of yourself as being like the guy who blew his mind out in a car...but then, we all know you and Amanda wanna do it in the road.

Can you tell that we're missing Miss Maggie?
