Our special order is escargot, french onion soup and tempura shrimp, scallops and veggies. Seems we have a tempura thing going, anything deep fried in batter is good in my book!

Our FUN3sters are in Cartagena, Columbia today. Unless the Navigator is one of those ships outside the port area in the far distance, I'm not able to locate her today. Here is the port area with a lovely breeze. I know you all are having a grand time!! :hello1:

When we were in Cartagena, we were docked at a different area altogether. It was not at the cruise ship dock, rather at the dock where the private yachts are, which is closer to town. It is much smaller than the place in your picture and I doubt they have a webcam.

Rachel, I was searching all over for a webcam that showed the Navigator, but came up with this shot. Since it looked festive and there was a big ol' ship here earlier, I thought those who hadn't been here before could get a feel for Cartagena.

Beth, you gave it agood try today! I just read passages and have the times for the canal tomorrow. The times are local and i think that they are the same as central time? Anyway we queue up at 5:45am, go through gatun lock between 7 and 8:30 am and through miraflores between 3:45 and 4:45pm.
Tommorrow iwill log onwitha ships computer so ican type faster with less typos to update what we have been up to the last few days. I still stink when it comes to typing on my tablet! I am sitting inthe hall outside my cabin right now, iget full signal strength out here and no disconnects!

I am up at the crack of dawn to watch our entry. The norwegian pearl is entering now and we are right behind her. The sun is starting to peak out!

Are you in the lock right behind the Pearl, Karen? There is a container ship coming up behind you.

Beth, you're doing such a great job !!

We sure look like the little shrimp next to Norwegian Pearl. This is our 3rd time going through the Panama Canal but it is so exciting going through the locks.

I just took these shots.

Cindy, Good shots! Marcie, love the drum pic, you could be Ringo Starr :app: or Gene Krupa. Canal cruising does get boring after the first hour.

I managed to get a sequence of shots so should be able to put together a time lapse slide show. I'll work on it and post it later.

Cindy, thanks for taking over while I went to the Y. I did get one last shot before I left. You can see the water level dropping in this one. The FUN3sters must be in the Pacific by now?

Marcie, your stalking of the Pearl was great!

Hopefully here is the link to the time lapse slide show of the passage through the Miraflores Locks.

Navigator Miraflores Locks

Think it plays a little smoother if you stop the playback for a couple of minutes and let it buffer, then hit the play buttin.
