Marc, it was so great seeing you and Arlene this past week. Tom and I LOVED our two world cruises, so happy we did it when we did. I'm not sure I see any more ?? You never know. We're in good health but our family has grown more than our budget haha. Love to you and Arlene today and always !

There are many areas around the island with Moai statues so we'll still be able to see them.

From the pictures, it looked like the main area which was damaged was the area which is called “The Quarryâ€, which mostly consisted of damaged and unfinished sculptures. It was very cool, but there are at least three other major moai sites on the island with free-standing moai in different areas distant from the area of the fire. Plus, there’s a great volcanic bowl to see.
