I saw it, but Ngaire told me to wait until she could talk to Clay. There will not be any official acronym and no pin.
You have some corrections to make.

I talked to Clay and this is a big group and so we will go ahead with naming the cruise and we will do a pin as well. Clay is definitely getting bigger groups now on his hosted cruises and we have added the enhanced KLT reward to his sailings recently.
So for just my cruises and Clays cruises in the future it will be the enhanced KLT reward and an officially named cruise with a pin as long as we have enough people on the sailing. I will ask Karen to post a naming poll.
For the staff hosted cruises it will be a shipboard credit, regular KLT Reward but not named or pin cruises.
Also no problem posting a roll call even if no one from KLT is on a sailing. Happy for you all to use this board for that purpose.

We have 60 people in the group now and quite a few on the waitlist. So will be a big group even if they have not signed in here yet.

Clay told me that this had worked out that is great.
So many do not post their plans, even some active people on LCT. Not sure why but I guess we all have our own reasons for our actions.

See it is time to contact Jennifer Bullock on trip insurance. Boy have we become believers of it since our last two cruises. Nothing serious, just visits to the Doctors office.

OK. I hope someone can help me with this question.
Arriving July 12th Heathrow airport at 9:40 am. Terminal #2. Miriam and Tim arrive about one hour later Terminal #5 What are thoughts were is for us to meet them at their baggage claim and then go together to our different hotels in London. ( May Fair & Hilton Park Lane)
From what I keep reading, Heathrow airport does not make doing this very easy, if actually possible.
If it is possible could someone on LCT please explain it to me in layman's terms? I am really struggling with this.

Quite frankly years ago I came to the conclusion that if people are on separate flights even to the same terminal in the same airport it is better to do independent transfers. STUFF happens, one couple has a flight delay, one couple loses a bag and the line is long to handle that. We did that many times and unfortunately we learned the hard way. Same plane ONLY when sharing at transfer. To plan on doing a transfer together even if it saves $$ is not worth the stress that comes with unexpected circumstances.
Logistically challenging. Big distance between Terminal 2 and Terminal 5.
You have to take a bus from terminal 2 to terminal 5 - that takes about 30 minutes. Carting your bags onto that bus not fun, most people just have hand luggage, but it can be done. You have an hour so you can probably make it. Then arrange a place to meet probably at the area where the international flights come out from Terminal 5. Going to be busy and I cannot think of a "place" to suggest to meet, but there are restaurants around that area from memory if you can get the name of of a restaurant that would help.
You will have a lot of bags so will need a good sized vehicle and there are not many taxis that can accommodate 4 people with cruise luggage. So a private transfer would need to be arranged from Terminal 5. Now if either flight is delayed then that messes up the transfer. Transfer set to meet the flight in Terminal 5 but if your flight into Terminal 2 is delayed then probably Tim and Miriam will have to move forward with the transfer without you. If you struggle over to terminal 5 and the find that Tim's flight is delayed the transfer people would know and not turn up until Tim's plane landed. Now you are waiting at the airport for Tim's flight to arrive and would probably opt to transfer on our own in a taxi. But if you are doing to two separate hotels seems like it would be much easier to do the transfers independently. You struggling with luggage, on the bus then trying to meet Tim, and the airport will be busy. Even if all goes well you are only meeting up for the transfer only to separate at the end of the transfer. Would make more sense if you were both staying at the same hotel but even then not sure it is worth all that hassle.

WOW! Thank you Ngaire. I must say that Jan and I have talked about this and had come up with the same conclusion. The other problem was trying to reserve transportation. Since we not only fly into different terminals, different times, we also are are different hotels about 1/2 mile from each other and I can not seem to find a way to use viator, or similar companies to set something like this up. Very much appreciate your comments.

Jim, Ken and I usually just get a taxi to London. There are plenty of them. Only when there is a real need like four of us and lots of bags would be set up a transfer. If we do a transfer we use "black lane" they are often a little more expensive but always on time and contact you on arrival by text or email https://www.blacklane.com/en/

Jim, I have heard good things about Black Lane but haven’t used them yet. We have had two good experiences at Heathrow with British-Airport-Transfer.com. For us they were reliable and had fair prices for a car service.

Just FYI we are voting now on a new name for this cruise. ICEBERG was a great acronym but a VERY hard pin to make. An ICEBERG has no color and I covered changing the name with Kim who came up with that name in the first place. Kim was okay with that so soon we should have a new name. The theme is IRISH as the ship is stopping in Ireland and that is a very easy pin to make with lots of options.

I'm sorry to say that we will no longer be on this cruise. Made the decision to switch over to the Copenhagen to Copenhagen cruise with Ngaire and Ken. The itinerary was a better fit. I guess we're "TROLLS" now... -- Bob & Pattie

OH NO! I am so sorry to hear that Bob & Pattie. I was hoping to have a nice conversation with you about COS. Jan and I lived there from 1972 to 1986. I had K-G Men's Store in the Citadel and Jan worked at Penrose Hospital.

Jim, We’re sorry we’ll miss getting together too! We arrived in Colorado Springs in 1989, a few years after you left. I was still in the Air Force at that time, and this was our chosen “retirement†location. We love it here, although it has grown tremendously over the last 30+ years and the traffic is constantly getting worse. We’re cruising a lot these days, so I’m sure we’ll cross paths on one of our journeys.

Miriam, Tim, Jan, and I have our Covid kits ordered. Will do the test July 13th at 10 am in London over video. Sure would be nice if NCLH would go along with the government and this not required anymore. Oh well the kits were $45.00 each and not refundable.
