Jan and I just finished all of our on-line document requirements and even have our noon boarding passes in our hands. Jim Bittle told me to be patient with Regent web site. Boy is he right. When you hit send nothing happens. So you wait, and wait, and all of a sudden it shows completed. We are ready to go!!!!!

Boarding passes printed (not in hand as I need two hands to type). 1230 boarding time to match 1130 pickup time in Ft Lauderdale. Can't wait (actually we will have to wait 19 more days).

Cozumel, Roatan, and Belize all showing as tender ports; I wonder why as docks available. Has anyone had excursions cancelled without notification; apparently there have been cancellation of Explorer excursions so concerned about Splendour.

Just checked the excursion schedule. Although we had been notified by email of the nonavailability of the Harvest Caye excursion we had chosen, we were not specifically notified of the other changes. However, I reviewed the online list of chosen excursions and the list included in the "cruise vacation document" I was so happy to have received the other day and noticed changes. Our "Key Lime Bike Trek" now kicks off at 7 am. Not sure that I want to get up at the Butt Crack of dawn to ride a bike around Key West. Will take a wait and see on that. The big change is the "Stingray City" excursion at Great Stirrup Caye. We booked 10 am and we have been switched to 2 pm. Online it says wait listed for 10 am. Not happy about booking an excursion and having it confirmed for months and months and months only to be kicked aside to the curb and wait listed. I would feel much less insulted if they said the morning time slot was canceled and they moved heaven and earth to get me into the 2 pm slot. I really expect more changes to be made before and after we get on board.

It might be because we never booked excursions at some of our ports of call. Some of the places we been to we probably will just stay on the ship.
Most of you I know and have cruised with before, but for those that I have not.
Since Regent does not do a "MEET & MINGLE" I will do the following to help. Jan and I board at noon. Will head directly to the pool deck and try to be close to the pool bar. If not I may be at a table having lunch. So I will be wearing a solid light pink/ salmon colored polo shirt, with thin navy stripe on the collar and edge of the sleeves. I also will be wearing a solid navy ball cap that says Regent Seven Seas Cruises on the front. PS It may be the one and only time you see either. LOL

Jim, You'll be in the pool grill since the bar is part of it and doesn't have bar seating - just a bunch of tables in the grill on both sides of the ship and the bar is on the port side. If the weather is good, there are tables in the center of the grill area, in front of the buffet, outside without cover over them. I think KLT has about 18 people on board. The pool grill has some new interesting menu items and there is a guy there hand making pizzas,

Jim, I will be instantly recognized by the pink tutu I will be wearing. Actually, first time I met Sheri she recognized me by my shoes as we were all wearing Venetian masks. Thinking about it, if Sheri could recognize me 18 years ago by my shoes I think my avatar is close enough.
See everyone soon (assuming we are let onboard).

Jim, There is a bar on the opposite end of the pool deck, but it only has a few stools and no area for gathering. Best is to grab some of the tables around the grill.

Probably. The reason I mentioned the pool grill end of the deck is because everyone heads there and very few stop at the bar at the far end.

Masks are apparently going to be required on Norwegian Breakaway on cruise leaving today: apparently only the one ship.
Scary that Regent has not updated their onboard "description" since 22 November; this may turn into a not so fun experience.

Looks like only change to check in procedures is that those flying to USA must test within one day vice 72 hours.

Well Jan was looking at the instructions for the pre-Covid requirements again and realized we had not finished. Still needed to set up our own account, so did that today. Now we are ready to go. Fly into Miami Wednesday and just received exciting news that we have been upgraded at our Hilton Gabriel hotel!!

New Health and Safety Requirements just posted. My quick review discovered only that:
1. San Tomas, Guatemala now requires “All guests will be required to take a COVID-19 antigen test and receive a negative result within 48 hours of arrival in Guatemala in order to go ashore.â€
2. Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic now: “Guests must wear a mask at all times while ashore in the Dominican Republic.â€

If any port requires an antigen test, it will be done on board by Eurofins at no cost to us. we went thru that on the Splendor in Europe 3 or 4 times in Sept/ Oct. They are really efficient and get everyone tested with hardly any waiting in line. They can do the entire crew of 500+ in less than 2 hours. Easy Peasy.

I'm sure they mean a face mask for snorkeling or scuba. The real question is whether the dolphins wear a mask.

Jim, you are very lucky; one of our excursions was cancelled and we were notified yet another was cancelled and we were not notified. Who knows what the tickets will say once we embark. Just realized that a third tour was cancelled; Arlene is not too displeased as she was not too thrilled about riding a horse in Roatan. Now I just have to see whether our dolphin tour in DR is still worth $179pp with new restrictions.

Do they provide wet suits for the dolphin swim? It's winter and the water will be quite chilly.

When I did the precruise sign in thing there was a link to video. I ran it. Can not say I paid much attention to it but when it was over continued on with sign in. At end got boarding passes. Maybe you missed that step in sign in. This was for 1/3 2022 cruise

I watched it while checking in, got the boarding pass and still got the email from Regent and my TA. Maybe they knew I wasn't paying any attention at all while it was rolling.

So many emails right now advising you requirements and multiple times about the check in date. These types of notices used to just come to us and we sent them out. So they come to the guest as well. We get SO MANY each day as you can imagine it is instinct to just forward. Always sit and wonder "should I forward this they were copied" but then I feel like i have to forward it as well "just incase" you missed something. I guess overkill with all these details is better than only sharing information just once.
