Ngaire said the group is 74 but there are only 14 on our roll call; who else wants to admit to being on this cruise?

NO PINS FOR LOCKS - I guess we will mail them to everyone once we finally get them. We ordered SUITE as well that MIGHT work time will tell.
Thank you again for your order (495768). I’m reaching out with a new update on how the Wuhan Coronavirus is impacting production and delivery schedules. We do not have any production facilities in Wuhan, but the Government has effectively quarantined the entire country and shut down all factories and production facilities. Not only has it affected our entire industry, but major companies like Apple, Hyundai, Starbucks, and McDonalds have also suspended in-country operations. Factories and international shippers (Fedex, UPS, DHL) were scheduled to reopen today, but the national government has extended the quarantine to account for the incubation period of the virus in the interest of public safety. Permission from the government to reopen is currently estimated to be between February 20 to 28th, but is not concrete. This means that scheduled delivery dates in February are not as feasible as originally projected. We are extremely sorry for the delivery delays and inconvenience. This is impacting all factories and facilities in China and supply chains worldwide. This is not just a pin, coin, patch, and lanyard problem. It’s affecting all goods manufactured in China from our products to iPhones and cars .
We are doing everything we can do deliver everyone’s projects on time, and we understand that some orders are needed for specific one-time events. If your order is not needed for a specific event, we ask that you stick with us and let us know. If your order is needed for a specific event, please let us know, even if we’ve already discussed it, so we can make accommodations. In our 20 years of business, we have never experienced a shutdown like this. It’s the first time this has happened, but will be the last. We are making moves right now to integrate our supply chain and bring at least 20% of our production capacity in house by the end of the year. Our top priorities are the safety and well-being of our production team members, delivering orders as quickly as possible, and keeping our domestic art team working. We are checking with our local government, shipping partner, and factory contacts multiple times a day and will update with any and all information.

Ngaire, when the package of pins arrive; you probably want to go hazmat and clean off outside of package before opening and then sanitizing the pins. Laying package out in sun will supposedly help.

Good idea. I just looked it up and a virus can live up to two days on a non porous surface and less on a porous surface like paper. . However another site said possibly up to 7 days depending on the virus.
If we get the package I will be careful handling it and not touch or open it until right before I leave. Give as much time as possible before we bring those pins out to the world.

This will be our first crossing. Any suggestions re temperatures? Do we need coats? We will get coming directly from the Caribbean (after a quick stop in NY to check out the TWA Hotel at JFK). I am anticipating some packing challenges and appreciate any input ———————— Helen

Actually out of 40 bookings just three have cancelled so far - not many left to report in so looks like most are coming so that is good news. The party continues!!!

Well despite Jon Bon Jovi’s advice, we are cancelling. I’m not really concerned about getting sick but I am concerned about being able to get home afterward. Just too many “ifs†and “perhaps†for my peace of mind. —————— Helen

I would be very surprised if this cruise sails given the current situation.

No one knows what will happen tomorrow let alone two weeks from now. At this point I think it will sail but I do think the itinerary will change and they will not go to Barcelona. I do not know anything but it seems logical to keep the ship close to the US and not take it to Europe. No one want to risk getting stuck in Europe that is for sure. Only time will tell.
I board the Splendor on Saturday and have a group of 25 with me. Imagine the ship will be about 50% and no problem getting into specialty restaurants.

Yes best thing to do. Watch and wait. If they cancel you end up winning for waiting and the 48 hour to cancel policy is certainly a good thing. Today the 4/29 Mariner got cancelled as the Mariner is coming back to USA now on a new itinerary via Africa and South America so will not be in Europe. The booked guests on the 4/29 got cash back or a 125% FCC. Not bad for just sitting tight and waiting to see what develops.

I was going to wait and see but we are on the Caribbean cruise just prior and I was thinking I might be at sea when Regent makes its decision. I would then need to cancel hotels and rearrange flights to get home so pulled the trigger on this so I could get settled. Such crazy times., even Disneyland has closed! —————— Helen
