We have needed a new mattress for quite awhile and decided to order the Elite Slumber Bed from Regent. I don't think it includes the calming rolling motion of the ocean, but it's being delivered today so I can let you know! I would love to think I will be able to sleep as well as I do when we're on a cruise!

I can't wait to hear how this works Kathy. We have considered doing exactly the same but wasn't sure of the brand or if the sizes ran different than in USA. You MUST report back. I hope you love it.

We are actually waiting to go onboard in November to decide if we want to take the leap. You lay on mattresses in the store but you really cannot tell until you sleep on them.
To me a mattress is the hardest things to find where BOTH people like the mattress. We tried one of those "sleep by number" air beds where each person can adjust their side. HATE that mattress. Put a topper on it but never liked it.
We know we like the Regent mattress but want to sleep on it one more time before taking the leap. I also need to know if it is the same size as OUR KINGS not a European King. Just not put in the time to study this yet.
Let us know what you think Kathy. How long did it take to get it?

Ngaire - here is the website which shows the dimensions: Elite Slumber BedThey aren't cheap, but I agree they sure are comfortable. I am anxious to hear Kathy's report as well.

Thanks for that Cindy. I sent Kathy the initial link to order it but not really spent the time looking at it myself. Size works well. Nothing like a full cruise "when you are thinking about buying a mattress" to test it out.

It's only been one night, but here's the verdict so far.....this has got to be one of the best purchases we have ever made! Al called from work just to tell me he doesn't remember when he has slept so well and I agree wholeheartedly!
Ngaire, we were going to wait for one more cruise too, except after our river cruise I just couldn't stand it anymore. Every night I would get shooting pains in my hip and toss and turn all night. They have two mattresses - one is Regents and the other is Oceania's. Oceania's is about $1k less, but has fewer coils and is not the same. The mattress is exactly the size of the US King - 76X80X14. It has a pillow top with a zipper so you can clean or replace the foam insert.
I called with a question and "Richard" told me I would save quite a bit on shipping if I ordered on the phone rather than on the website. I included white glove shipping so they put it right on the bed and took away our old mattress. I was told it would take 3-5 weeks and it was delivered 8 days later!
All in all I would give it a big thumbs up! I'll update if I have any more thoughts or if anyone has any questions.

Pretty sure we will do it also. Ken just wanted to sleep on it (literally) before making the final decision.

Won't be long now Ngaire. I like the one on Crystal Debussy a whole lot too but can't find anything about those on line to compare prices? We only have a queen size. I love the kings on ships, but guess I shouldn't complain...12 years ago we were still sleeping in a regular double size so we've made big strides.

Don't mean to confuse everyone with another suggestion, but I just bought a Sleep Number mattress with an adjustable base & it's wonderful! I'll be happy to provide more info by email if anyone wants it.

It is what makes the world go round. Different strokes for different folks. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing. We just could not adjust to the sleep number bed. Have had it about four or five years now. Possible if you just bought yours it is a whole different mattress now. Bottom line if you are happy that is all that counts.

On the Mariner now, headed in direction where we gained hours one night after another. I do love these beds, but have to admit it may be the gentle rolling of the seas! Best sleep ever compared to any hotel I’ve ever experienced!
