125 days until we board the Explorer!!

I am starting to work on this again shortly as it is GETTING CLOSE!

Since all our staff will be gone we are actually decided today we are going to close the office from Thursday through Sunday. Open up again on Monday, March 27th.

Wow, that is one long Thanksgiving break; this Thursday through 27 March?

Well Marc you know I love my staff but I agree a little "too long" for Thanksgiving.

Guess I should have clarified Thursday March 24th to Monday March 27th for FROLIC. They will all be in Florida and no one manning the office, no option really but to officially close - a party takes precedence.

Well, here's our new twist to Frolic...Instead of using Regent air flying back to LAX from Barcelona, we're flying back to Miami. We'll overnight there and then get on the Mariner April 11th for the 7 night trip to Havana. It makes perfect sense since we're already in the air!

According to Clay, KLT's Linda Litteken will be on it as well as lots of KLT clients. Anyone else on this 7 night cruise?

What a neat idea. I am jealous.

Jim, I feel your pain. Made my reservations only to leave the page and come back again and they are gone! As Regent is closed today, I guess we will all need to call when they open tomorrow.

Luckily, I haven't had the disappearing reservation problem. I wonder if the fact that I don't log out of my Regent account after making dining reservations is relevant.

The problem I'm having is that the system will not allow me to make more than one reservation in each specialty restaurant even though it acknowledges that I'm entitled to a total of six reservations.

So I went ahead and did rez for two
but when I get out of the web site and go back nothing is there.
Must be someone booking rez because the times available have changed on some.

Jim, do you receive any confirmation emails after making dining reservations? Do you log out of your account after making reservations?

It's pure speculation on my part but I wonder if logging out of your account before the system can generate confirmation emails causes it to erase your reservations.

When you make dining reservations, I'd suggest not logging out of your account until after you receive a confirmation email. Maybe not immediately logging out will keep your reservations intact. Or just stay logged in to your account at all times.

I put the information in. It says I have reservations.
So I get out of the site but do not log out of my account.
I am logged into it all the time.
Even tried our Surface computer with same results.
Weird.
Will call tomorrow morning.

Jim, I think lucky few are able to book today and the rest of us will have just 8:30pm reservations when we finally get to book tomorrow.

I didn't realize you guys were having problems. I was able to book this morning with no issues and received confirmation emails.

What I don't understand is that the website says I have made three of six reservations, but it won't let me make a second reservation in a restaurant withour canceling the first one.

Just a guess here, but maybe you can't get the last three because technically the second segment isn't open for dining res yet?

I had the same problem as Tom. In the past, the system would say that the second segment dates were not yet available for booking. This time the system will allow me to book dates in the second segment but gives me a message saying that a second segment booking will result in cancellation of the first segment booking in the same restaurant. So the system is only allowing one reservation per restaurant instead of the two reservations per restaurant to which we are entitled.

The solution is to call Regent. The agent will make second segment reservations over the phone without cancelling first segment reservations.

Joan and I are looking forward to cruising with everyone again. See you in March.

Had all the same problems noted above so I called this morning and booked reservations for both segments. I did get a confirmation email shortly after I hung up. The reservation agent made some errors so I just went into my account to look at it and guess what -- NO RESERVATIONS! Both the reservations I made and the one someone else made for us are gone. I think I'll wait a while to try again -- hopefully they'll get it fixed!

Your reservations may still be in the system even though they're not showing on your computer. I'd give Regent a call to check.

sounds like it is a mess! I contacted Jennifer and she has her contact at Regent working on ours, and I can see 2 of 6 completed, but when I click on them they only show us, not the others we had specified, so not sure what is going on with that, and whether our reservations are for only two or more.

We had all these same problems before our September B2B on Explorer. Only way the reservations would stick was to ring Regent.

In the end it didn't really matter as we got any number of reservations at the specialty restaurants once on board at the dining times to suit us.

There is a dedicated office opposite reception where you can go at certain times during the day to make new/change dining reservations. It is a great improvement on the old system.

Thanks, Dave -- I called back and there were no reservations in the system. We did it all again (for the third or fourth time) and now they appear to be sticking as they're still there. Keeping my fingers crossed . As Sheila said, if all else fails, we can make reservations onboard.

I called early this morning and after a loooong wait found
out that some in our group needed to cancel their reservations
before doing reservations we wanted. Got that done.
Called back with no wait and took care of reservations.
On web site it shows we have them.
Hopefully done!!

I had problems on line yesterday, some stuck and some didn't so I called this morning and got everything we wanted. I got the confirmation emails and just called to confirm and everything is still in place. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

The specialty dining venues are great on Explorer we tried them all, but Compass rose has expanded their menu so much and the quality has increased greatly I was happy to dine in Compass every night if I had to. We even cancelled our last night in Pacific Rim so we could dine in Compass Rose.. Enjoy!
