Looks like server just jumped from Central to Mountain time. I had to change my offset to two hours. Now, all of my countdown clocks show one more hour until my cruise starts. :( Is this a permanent change?
thanks,

I notified John and Ken of the problem, I am afraid to change the time in the control settings, just in case that's not the problem! As I know I haven't changed the time and I don't think John has either, it may be another problem of some kind.

454.2. That's a great site, Marc! I like the way that if you hit a fly ball (fly penguin?), the penguin ends up with his beak stuck in the snow. :D
(edit: now got 517.5. Somewhat addictive to keep trying for better)

573 is best for me. You need to hit it low enough to get a good bounce.

OK, new goal for me to strive for ... and I agree about keeping the penguin low. :)
(edit: woohoo! 578.1! (that is, of course, after 15 minutes of continuous flying penguins))

491.1 following three misses then two hits over 400. Played another minute and the best I could do was 476.8. Now back to reading bulletin boards!

OK, it must be a guy thing. I can't beat 491.1 either. But the slower ones are funny...watching the skids!

Now 587.6. The penguin needs to be close to the top of the window at the top of his arc to get maximum distance. I'm obsessed!

Well, I still don't know what caused our time stamp to change but I was reading on the tech boards and they suggest each member adjusts their local time in "my profile" under the preferences tab. I adjusted mine, and my time is back to normal. It was mentioned that if we adjusted the time stamp through the control panel, other problem might occur. I am not sure what to do with your countdown clocks. Can you reenter your countdown info to make it return to normal? I don't use the clocks so I am not sure what is involved in that and I apologize if it's a pain in the butt to do :(
I am sure John will shed a little more light on this subject when he gets a minute to post.

588.3?? Inconceivable! ("I don't think that word means what you think it means"). I'll have to try harder, Ronnie.
Yeti ball? Is that what we're calling it, Karen? :)

Sorry All, I was away for the weekend I will check into the clock problem today. I do think Karen is right. The main clock is set and we all must set our individual clocks. John

I think the time has to do with the server being in Dallas. I finally caught up. For the Left coasters just add 2hours on your profile. It's about half way down.

Actually, I think the left coasters will need to go to minus 2 hours. I'm on EDST and I went to plus 2 hours. I'll see when this posts if I got it right.
Yes, it came up correctly. BTW, yesterday I managed to score a 517.5 on the penguin game. My husband is teasing me about how such a critter lover as myself could get a kick out of playing that game.

It's a strangely fascinating/addicting game. I'm sure Marcie's horrified. :) But the penguin looks like he's having fun too!
(edit: now 588.8! OK, it's only 0.5 longer than Ronnie's number. It took a while of playing to get it too! <img border="0" alt="[bounce]" title="" src="graemlins/ubbbounce2.gif" /> )

I have reached 588.8 also. I found that you need a shallow enough arc that the penguin bounces at about 350 ft mark. If 360 feet, he will nose in. Shorter than 300, and the bounce won't take you over 500.
Quite good engineering training. I wonder if I get CPE?

Hey, a kindred spirit! I've had freecell on my palm for years now, and I play it every day on the subway on my way to work. It's only a 10 minute ride or so, but it's a great way to pass the time!

Actually, I am a Tetris and Diamond Mine player. On the Palm. Also Backgammon. All loaded up for the perfect First Class Airplane Ride to NYC with Zagat to Go as well. Something to do besides read and can play backgammon with Frank too instead of watching a B Movie.
