For an inbetween vacation (cruises that is) look into Tauck Tours. All the luxury and pampering of Regent each hotel had marvelous views. In Victoria on Vancouver Island our window had the perfect view of the Empress Hotel while on the Columbia Ice Fields Parkway our room looked over grassy slopes at Lake Louise with Victoria Glacier behind i t.
I cannot praise Tauck enough.

Have fun, Lauri! I have always heard the best things about Tauck, I think it is ChatCat from this board who has also used them before. We did a New England Fall Tour on Tauck and their Classic Italy a few years ago - our best trip ever. Last year we did Prague to Budapest on their Tauck Swiss Treasures. We were going to give up river cruises because we did not like Viking River at all but said we'd try once more. We were not disappointed - it was a fabulous time. We have Tauck's Australia and Africa on our wishlist.

My experience with Tauck was outstanding.
The only downside was living out of a suitcase for two weeks but the hotels, the meals and the guides were superb.

I concur, Lauri. Alan and I just returned from our 4th Tauck tour a couple of weeks ago and had an outstanding time.
We're giving Odysseys Unlimited a try next year, after hearing stellar things about their tours. We shall see how they compare to Tauck.
