I goofed, we arrive early AM on the 14th. Coming in on the AIR TAHITI NUI flight101 departing LAX 8/13 at 11:30pm. Anyone else on this flight with us?

I believe ATN 101, which we are on, and AF 76 are codeshared, so we will be on the same flight as Kathy.

I am not sure that this is true. They have slightly different flight times and different aircraft indicated. I must admit it is very strange that two jumbo jets would be scheduled within 10 minutes of each other.

Granted this was about 7 years ago, but when we went to Tahiti, the ATN flight and the AF flight were two separate flights and landed within just a few minutes of each other. We were in business class so got through customs relatively fast from the ATN flight, but we talked to people on the PG the next day who had been in the line for an hour and a half.

I read somewhere that for flights to other islands, the luggage limit was 14 kg (sorry guys - hope you can convert that) but I can't find it now. That's a pretty small suitcase! Can anyone help me? Oh well, I guess I won't have to worry about taking too much gear! Lee

That's around 30 pounds. They use small planes so luggage is limited, however there is a place at the Faaa airport in Papeete where you can store the rest of your luggage for a small fee and pick it up when you return. Since you only need a swimsuit, shorts & t shirts on the other islands, a carry on size bag can hold all you need for a few days.

As it is impossible to buy summer clothes here at the moment, what I have in the wardrobe is what I will be bringing with me. As my so-called friends say: who is going to look at me anyway!

Lee, I bet it is difficult to find summer clothes in OZ right now. When you get back from the cruise, summer clothes will be all over the place.

Pity I couldn't go via New York! All I can hope for is that the summer clothes I have still fit my ample winter figure!!!

Oh you dear girl - how to upset a nervous flyer in one easy lesson!! Have decided to take an urgent course of swimming lessons.

I have become pretty calm about these things. Every week it seems someone is going on a trip and there is a threat of a strike, a riot, demonstration or some such troubling occurence and I get a call from panicked clients. Naturally people are worried and I understand. However, most of the time everything works out just fine.

According to the same string on CC, the strike threat has been withdrawn. Can't wait to see everyone!

Wonder if I can get a refund for unused swimming lessons!!!
