Donna I am sorry I didn't have Alan's name on th list beside yours to begin with. I couldn't think of it off the top of my head and I was in a hurry running out the door to meet Marc for dinner. I have fixed it now.

Donna, We have gotten so used to meeting for dinner a couple of times a week since we have been over here. We love the little neighborhood cafes where you sit outside and have a very leisurely dinner. We found one 3 blocks from our apartment and they know us now when we come in. They have two for one happy hour, all you can eat ribs for Marc and a wonnderful Spaghetti Bolognaise for me. We love just sitting outside and discussing the day. The cafes are so wonderful in that they do not expect to "turn" tables every hour or so, so you can have a nice relaxing dinner. Many times we have to ask more than once for the check as they expect you to sit and relax the night away. It is really heaven.... AND I don't hhave to cook!

Add us to the list for the time being anyway.

So excited to see the names keep coming! So far, I have met most, and can't wait to see them again, but a first for me is to meet Betty and Larry, Diane, Lars (ok, met Margo on MIMOSA not a cruise), Rachel and George, and Greg and Kristen! This is going to be a FUN "cruise to nowhere"! And the SISTAH's are coming! What we need now is Suzanne! But she is off camping, alas! (OMG, the visual of Suzanne camping?)

Ngaire, I see that LCT has 5,600 registered members. Do you think your house can accommodate all of us, plus spouses? :D

On a more serious note, I go through the same thought process with visitors to Dallas as you described, Ngaire. Dallas isn't exactly a tourist mecca, although it's a great place to live. After showing visitors around the downtown sites, we often end up taking them to Fort Worth, especially to the Stockyards area, because it is so "western" -- and of course with Billy Bob's right there, that seems like a natural for this group! Also possible would be dinner at Joe T. Garcia's near there -- family style Tex-Mex in the big outdoor garden area or inside. (And yes, even in November the outside area probably will be open since this is Texas.) Of course, for football fans who don't hate the Cowboys too much, the new Cowboys stadium offers tours. A tour was the Number 1 item on our nephew's "to-do" list when he recently was here on business, and he said the stadium is pretty spectacular.

The house is now bulging with everyone who has responded plus my staff at about 90 people.
So I may need to slow it down now to a waitlist as I am sure that some people will find that other things crop up that make attending a problem.

Hotels, I have been trying to get in touch with the Hyatt Place group planner today no luck yet. I will simply make a group rate as best I can and then people can do that or any other hotel that they chose.

Transportation will be an issue. For any trip far away (like Billy Bobs) we can charter a bus for transport and split the cost. Some may rent cars of course and the Hyatt has a transfer van. When I finally get to talk to their group person I can find out if we can count on that for transfers.

There are some not posted here that are on the list so I am truly hitting the wall, people will be laying on my bed to find air.

There are BOUND to be some that in the end do not make it and probably everyone that wants to come can come.

At least Lauri you do not have to make hotel or plane reservations.

Ngaire, you warned us that there may be a limit. Who would ever believe that such a large group would come from all over the country for a cocktail party at their TA's house, paying their own way to get there and stay in a hotel? Great testament to you that you have gathered such a loyal following who are crazy about you! (Well, we also liked each other after you got us together on so many escorted cruises!)

Crazy about each other is more to the point and you can put me in that camp. Looking at this list I am excited too --- so many great experiences, laughs and memories we have all had together.

Frank, are you and Carla "in" for coming from Boston? I didn't see you on last list. Of course, it is middle of the night for Arlene over there in Brussels.

I am going to ask Arlene to put all of our states in parens after our names, if they are identified publicly in our posts, to indicate the breadth of the BK reach! We are from so many places far and wide!

This will be international with Arlene from Brussels and Pat & Ray from Toronto. Doesn't get any better than that.
