It is the 50s today here! I think we qualify as having a "wind chill" because the winds are up to 30 mph. So it probably feels like 45!

I know, I know, all you Northerners are saying "poor baby"! It's just not often that it's cloudy and cold this far south. It's strange to be surfing the 'net on a weekend! I really don't go online much on weekends during the day because we're outdoors from sunup to sundown, enjoying the weather.

I should not complain - you guys in the Northeast have gotten NAILED this weekend :eek: :eek: - are you guys all dug out yet?

We are in the low 80's today and the evenings have been mild, too. Something for you to look forward to!

Somehow I can't muster up any sympathy for you. I'd take cloudy and 50.

We've had over 14" of snow, (NYC got 26.9") and right now at 5:30 PM it's all of 22 degrees and with the wind chill is making it feel like it's under 14 degrees.

I grocery shopped like there was going to be a blizzard, and here on the Md coast we got barely an inch. I have been eating all day, slice and bake chocolate chips, hot chocolate with that marshmellow whip, sandwiches, yogurt, you name it. There is something about the threat of a storm that leaves me fearing hunger! Hope you guys further up north filled your kitchen, sounds like you really got a zinger!

oops...make that 18+ inches of snow. I'll have to ask someone as I refuse to venture outside.

It must be this cold weather that's making us eat, we had meat loaf, mashed potatoes, corn and cherry cobbler. Could I have made a heavier dinner!!!

Hope that eating frenzy goes away tomorrow! I just ate the best honey ham on rye sandwich! Karen, meat loaf and mashed potatoes, my very favorite comfort food! Thinking next of getting into that Breyer's vanilla ice cream I bought yesterday. Yes, Joanna, I normally eat like a bird. Hope this does not continue, or I am going to have to do some serious walking days on end to sustain my habit.

We have had unseasonably warm weather here in NorCal, mid to low 70's all week. Everything has burst into bloom and all the bulbs are up. I put in 4 rose trees and a mini rose tree today.

Unfortunately the temp is due to drop 25 degrees by Tuesday. I was ready to get the grill going...

Just cleaned off our cars, about 18inches in Boston, thank god for 4WD

Luckily the 80s are coming back on Thursday! My sister called me from her vacation in Orlando and was chewing me out (not really) "What is this!? We came to Florida to warm up!" - I said, well, it's gotta be better than Chicago! :)

Mayor Bloomberg is on TV and the vision of snow in Manhattan is amazing. I guess you'll all have a snow day while we will have to work. We don't get sunshine days here in the West. Just days off for Fires and Earthquakes.

I promised to send you all some sunshine and I went to the beach to practice with a new lens for my camera today to bring it to you. Hope it keeps you all warm and dreaming of your next cruise:

Isn't this weird. here in Southeastern Montana we have been in the +50's the last few days. The weather report says that we are suppose to get to about -25 below zero by Friday!!

Well Gus is at his parents' home in Cape Town where it is very hot and sunny. It's been as high as 95! He rings me each day with a weather report....hmmm....something that does not impress me! Here in London it is cold and has been for a while now. Not as cold as in NYC though and no snow.......I can't imagine what 26" of snow looks like - the whole of the UK grinds to a halt if we get just an inch or two!

oh how i wish. actually thanks for the warm pics to cheer us up.

yesterday it pretty much ground to a halt here too, but today except for the kids having a snow day from school, everyone is back to work and driving. The roads are mostly cleared and with the warmer temps today, it helped melt any slush from the roads.

All of L.A. grinds to a halt when it just sprinkles rain.. newscasters get very excited and tell us we are "on storm watch"..
