I guess it is starting to slow down. No weight loss last week at all! :(

On an encouraging note though, we did have a regional meeting this morning and several people that hadn't seen me in awhile were there and were all shocked when they saw me!!! Everybody wanted to know how I did it. One even asked if she could have her husband call me so that I could tell him. The funniest though was from one of the warranty guys who asked somebody else, has Don been sick???

Anyways, still holding at 119 lbs down. At least for this week.

How is everybody else doing?

Don it must have made your day to get all those compliments that you truly deserve. :app:

I am holding my own right now - not gaining not taking any off - which is ok for a bit. :)

Tom is in Japan and gets home tomorrow night - Saturday is our "weigh" day and we will see the results from his being gone. :)

Thanks Sue. I am sure that you will do fine this week.

Here are a couple of new pictures. These were taken in on our Colorado trip after losing about 117 lbs. These aren't the most flattering, but they are recent. Still a big difference from where I was.

Just for grins. For those that hadn't seen it, here is my before picture.

Don, you look simply amazing!!

No great loss for me last week, just .5, but I'm not complaining. I've also lost another 2 inches from my waist and 3 inches from my hips in the last month.

Next Monday marks the one year anniversary of my new lifestyle - I really want to take a picture of me in the jeans I wore to my first weigh-in - they are so huge now!

Are you standing in front of the Children's Fountain in Vail? I was there for a month this summer. We could have finally met - drinks, dinner, whatever.
And you look fantastic.

Betty, that is exactly where we were. We were just there a couple of weeks ago. When were y'all there? It would have been great to meet up.

Thanks all, for the compliments! Y'all have been such an encouragement. It has really helped to keep me going.

Andrea, wishing you a happy anniversary! That is great. Such a milestone. I am anxious to see the picture! You have been doing so fantastic. I am sure that Jerel can't believe the difference.

Don, have been home a month. Must have just missed you. 30 years of fond memories of that fountain. My son playing in it as toddler up to this summer, sitting there on weekend evenings to listen to the live music from Pepi's porch. Vail weather, scenery and the gorgeous flowers make it a summer heaven for me. I SHOULD go see it with snow at least once before I die. Maybe you saw the slogan, "Winter is wonderful but summer is why we live here!" Perfect description for me. Sorry our paths didn't cross. :(

Congratulations Sue! Great Job! :app:

Betty, it was pretty spectacular and a great place to escape the Texas heat! When we got home we found a Starwood promo invite in the mail to view the Sheraton Mountain View Resort in Avon for 5 days and 4 nights in one of their one bedroom suites for $299. We may just do that next summer.

I didn't get one of those and I do Starwoods. I might need to give them a call. I won't be able to do the one month thing next summer - but this deal would be great. Maybe we could go at the same time. The Westin is also building in Avon but they are nowhere close to "come spend some time" yet.
Sue - sorry, didn't mean to steal your thunder. You're doing great!

Betty, the promo is to get you to view the property and listen to a presentation on their interval ownership program (aka timeshare). We are considering it because I can say no pretty easily and I have heard that it is rather low key.

On the weight loss front. After not losing any weight last week, I lost a whopping 4 lbs this week. I am now down 123 lbs since 8/14/06, but most of that (94 lbs) has been since January 1st. I now have 23 more pounds and then I go on the Pre-Maintenance program. I am still burning about 1000 calories more per day than the 2000-2100 calories that I am taking in so that will have to slooooowwww down.

BTW, I thought I would post my newest picture of me getting into my smaller pants! This was by no means the fanciest of apparel choice, but I thought it brought out the real me!

Also, I think a lot of people have been surprised at how much weight I have lost and even more surprised at how much I can eat and still lose weight the weight. Alot of that is because of all the exercise that I get. Some have even gone as far as to say that I eat like a horse, but I'm sure that they are just exaggerating.

Anyway, here is my newest picture! I thought y'all might enjoy it!

Very nice Don! I think you need to be as stubborn as a mule to do what you've been doing.

Sounds like everyone's been doing great lately. Weight wise I'm pretty static, but that's due to muscle building. I got a new road bike a few weeks ago and have been putting about 100 miles a week on it. I can feel myself getting stronger so I'm replacing fat with muscle. This is good as we all know that muscle consumes more calories than fat.

Keep up the good work everybody!

Dave

Dave, that must be why I actually put on 1/2 lb last week. That is my story and I'm sticking to it! Actually I was surprised, but then I have had weeks like that followed by weeks of larger weight loss before, so I'm not getting too excited!

As to my picture, you probably didn't know that my middle name was KEY!!! LOL

I just realized I hadn't given you all a progress report lately - as of yesterday I am down 96.3 lbs!! I just had a couple of great losing weeks - this past week alone I lost 4.6 lbs. It's been 54 weeks since I began this incredible lifestyle change.

I've actually started taking yoga classes, as well as a treadmill interval training class on Monday mornings, and I even run on the treadmill! I never thought I would enjoy running, but it's not too bad at all! I really think the combination of different workouts is keeping my body in fat-burning mode.

100 lbs gone pictures will be coming within the next few weeks!!

I guess we both had a good week. After actually gaining 1/2 lb last week, I am so jazzed with this weeks weigh in that I feel like dancing. OK, the results are in! Not only did I lose the 1/2 lb, I lost another 5 on top of that!!!   I don't know how that can be, but I will take it.

I don't want to step on the scale - we were in Wisconsin visiting family and we HAD to eat all our favorite foods that we can't get in Georgia! :D

Andrea and Don, I am so impressed at all you've accomplished. I walked one hour on the treadmill today in your honor. Now, will someone lead me out to the spa and then put me to bed? I'm exhausted!

Sue, that's funny. When I'm in GA I HAVE to eat my favorite foods that I can't get in AZ.

Thank you all so much! I really never thought that I would ever make these kind of changes in my life, especially after age 40. I mean, running? Yoga? Not anything I ever pictured myself doing!

Don, I know how you feel. It always amazes me when my body decides to give up a little bit of extra weight in a week! I'll take it when it happens, knowing full well I may not lose anything this week.

One thing I've learned with this journey - diet and nutrition are really important, but exercise is probably the most important of all. I simply cannot believe how my body has been reshaped. I am fitting into clothing sizes smaller than I ever thought possible. My sister and I used to kid each other that stores like The Gap were "stores for skinny girls" but I can actually shop where I want to now. I couldn't believe it a couple of weeks ago when I tried on some Nike workout pants and ended up buying a large!

Sue and Donna, that may be one of the reasons I haven't been home to Ohio since I started - I would be too tempted by restaurants and my mom's cooking!

My reward for hitting 100 lbs is a massage, which I've tentatively scheduled for October 20th.

Andrea what a wonderful reward - a massage! :app:

Donna; that is so funny...each time we go to WI we have certain foods we must eat and if we didn't it just wouldn't seem right (of course they are all foods that are not healthy)! :p

I gained 2 pounds and hope to have that gone by the weekend. <img border="0" alt="[bang]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" />

Andrea, I think I am on that one week lose a bunch and the next week not program! It seems to really vary from week to week.

This was my off week, but another one is gone! It wasn't much, but I'll take it. Now 129 down and 27 more to go!

How did everybody else do?

Way to go Don!

I lost 1/2 pound. I started walking yesterday and did 2.4 miles - same thing today! My muscle weakness is gone (thanks to a miracle from above) and I am now able to start exercising!

Don where are you...have you and Diana moved? You sure are missed on LCT - you must be quite busy. Wishing you all the best! :)

Don, seems like I'm right there with you. No loss to report from last week. I'm going to be pushing it to get to my 100 lbs lost goal by the 20th!

Sue, great job on your loss. I'm so glad you're able to exercise again!

In my venture of trying new things I took a spinning class last night. It was okay...didn't really love it, so I probably won't add it to my workout regime - maybe just take a class here and there.

Even though I'm not at my 100 lbs lost goal, here is a picture from last Saturday. The shirt is the first purchase I've ever made from Ann Taylor - another store I always considered a "skinny girls store"! I've also added what I consider my worst before photo for comparison - taken last August on MUSH.
