My dear friend, Priscilla (pkd), recently shared some difficult news with me, that we've kept between ourselves. It is with her kind permission that I now share this with all of you.

Priscilla's husband, John, recently had a CT scan which showed a small mass or tumor attached to an intestine. John will be undergoing surgery very early tomorrow morning to have this mass removed. It has not yet been determined how serious it is at this point until the mass has been biopsied.

John and Priscilla truly are in need of our positive and loving thoughts and prayers for an excellent outcome and very speedy recovery.

Priscilla will be in contact with me and I will be sure to keep everyone advised of John's progress.

I know hearing from all of you would really mean a lot to both John and Priscilla.

Denise, please tell Priscilla that I am thinking about both her and John and that I hope for the very best outcome tomorrow. I also would like to send hugs to Priscilla, I bet she could use them right now.

I may work for a church but am not "holier than thou" - I do believe in the POWER of prayer - and this board has done some incredible praying for folks ... do not need to go into longgggg stories - ..is is such a personal subject so I will keep it simple - say a prayer as a group - Joanna

I heard from Priscilla last night. They are both going into this with positive thoughts. But she did mention how she needed all the help she could get with your thoughts and prayers. She will be so pleased to see all these responses.

My husband went through the same thing with a tumor in his colon so we know what you're going through, we have thought of you both all day today and hope that John comes through with flying colors and a big hug from us for Priscilla!

My thoughts and prayers are for Priscilla and John. There is hardly more upsetting news than something like that. Prayers for good results and for comfort in getting through the ordeal of waiting for results. I second what Joanna says, that this group seems to offer up some very powerful prayers and wishes....

Although it can be difficult at times, also keep a positive outlook.

Normally I don't talk about my situation but just before MINT I got a concerned call from my doctor to get tested at the Cleveland Clinic. I did and then had to wait for the results after the cruise. In my heart, I knew I was going to have to face cancer so I partied hard and drank good scotch. Then the results. Yup, I had it. So I elected to have cryosurgery and it was done on March 15. Today Penny and I went to visit the doctor as we had to face results from post surgery. No cancer!!! To quote myself, I said "Doc. you knocked the s#+@ out of it" and we both had a laugh and then he told me he'd see me in a year.

So, today I joined Fred's survivor group and look forward to hearing positive vibes about John next.

In the meantime, "I wish thee health, I wish thee wealth, I wish thee gold in store, I wish thee heaven upon the earth. What more could I wish thee more?"

POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND VIBRATIONS COMING FROM ORANGE COUNTY, CA!

Well I guess I'm in there with Fred's survivor group, and Ray's. As many of you know I just had my surgery on March 22 - malignant kidney mass - don't think I need to go into details, but again, the power of prayers and positive thoughts from this wonderful LCT board got me thru the surgery and the news that with my particular cancer, its basically a cure, so I'm with Ray, "wishing yee health, wealth, gold in store and heaven on earth". Hoping for the best of news from Pricilla and John - and again thanks Denise for keeping us updated (surgery day is difficult, so maybe tomorrow we will have news).
