I'm so thrilled that the father/daughter team won this particular leg of the race. It was the perfect prize for a team that just left the majority of the possessions they traveled with behind.

I admire the daughter for letting go of her stuff. I would never have, I would have insisted that we had to go back. Probably yet another good reason why I will never go on this show: too attached to my stuff! I still chuckle when I recall the gay guy a few seasons back who was moaning that he missed his moisturizer, LOL I would too!

Helen, I have been meaning to ask you about "Little" Rudy from last season's Biggest Loser! He really did an awesome job to get to the finale like that - and didn't he set records along the way? He looked INCREDIBLE!

Sorry to temporarily hijack the thread :)

Thanks, Joanna and Karen :)

I still can't figure out how to post a picture within a post, but here is how Rudy looked beforehand and then at the finale:

I was sad to see the Father & Daughter eliminated last night, dag gum it but it balanced out with the cowboys win. The cab and challenge choice karma has to be working in your favor.

I was sure glad to see the cowboys make their move from back to front of the pack. But worried through most of the show that Steve & Allie (father/daughter) would be eliminated; so sad to see them out of the race. I should have kept the recording after viewing to rewind to get a better glimpse of what appeared to be a cruise ship while they were still in the Seychelles. Did any of you see enough to identify it?

Hi Kristin, dont know where I have been but just saw your post today. Last I heard "Little" Rudy is doing well. My cousin dd a good job of keeping that secret (unusual for her)we watched the show like everyone else with no clue if he would win or not. Disspointed that he didnt get it but I ditto "Wow!" what an accompishment anyway.
I was sorry to see the Father daughter go last night too but loved watching those cowboys just kick it!!

Thanks for the update on "Little" Rudy, Helen! He's truly an inspiration.

I was sad to see the father/daughter go, too. I am rooting for the cowboys all the way!

Did you guys see the beer in the boot episode? Greg and I were saying we'd gain a lot of time on that one, we are beer lovers! In fact, when we were in Rhodes (Greece), we had boots of beer just like the ones on that episode. And YES, they were that big... ;)

From the teams that remain I'm still rooting for the cowboys.

I did think it was refreshing that Dan & Jordan were brutally honest that neither one of them would ever ride their prizes for coming in first in last night's episode (they each won a motorcycle.) When Phil asked "really?" one of the brothers said that their mother would kill them.

I thought that was funny, as the mother probably had "heart failure" when she saw what they had just done on the Singapore Flyer!

When Survivor and Amazing Race first began the runner-up did win some $. But I don't know if that is still the practice.

It was a pretty close race to the finish for 2 of the 3 teams, Karen. That's all I'll say for now.

Well I just watched. I REALLY wanted the cowboys to win, they were genuinely nice human beings. I probably would of cheered more at the end for the brothers if they hadn't of pulled that weird line cutting at the the airport.
I guess I am ok with the outcome as whiny girl came in last at least ;)
I have never seen such an ordeal at the end as there was between them and the lesbians, both teams should be ashamed of themselves!

I feel exactly the same way Karen. Would have had no trouble at all rooting for the bros, if they hadnt done that at the airport. OTH, why oh why didn't Jet just push the Bro outta the way at the virtual reality challenge? Did I miss some rule?

I was hoping the brothers would have been eliminated for cheating by cutting in the line at the airport. The cowboys really deserved to win.

Greg and I have a big beef with the fact that the brothers sat up in first class. That is supposed to be a no-no on TAR. I realize they didn't pay for it (the rules stipulate that economy tix must be purchased) - but they should also be limited to actually SITTING in economy. I thought for SURE they would be penalized for that - at least an hour - but no. Not even a mention of it. The cowboys sure are class acts - probably one of my favorite TAR teams to date. Sure wish they would have won. :(

The cowboys finished the race with integrity. They may not have the million bucks but they are the big winners in my eyes. And they certainly won lots of nice future vacations (which at some point along the way they assured us they would not take together.) I think the brunette one is already married and the redhead is engaged.

I agree with Karen - that scene at the end between the lesbians (mainly Brandy) and Caite was tasteless and showed total lack of sportsmanship. I wish the producers had not given it extra air time with Phil questioning each of them.

Does anyone know if they still pay anything to the runner ups. Karen I remember a few years ago you had a list of what they got paid.

Thank you Karen. I remembered that you had mentioned it once before and it came up in a current events group I go to. The article is from 2005 but still very interesting. You are sure an expert on the computer.
I haven't been posting here but I still take a peek every now and then. Marty is on dialysis so we can't go on Regent cruises. We can still travel but it is more complicated and we have to sort of stay in one place
