The "House" season opener last night was great, I thought. Now looking forward to some other favorite shows, like "Friday Night Lights" next week.

Arlene, are you able to watch the episodes on cbs.com after they've aired?

I will try but I doubt it. When we were in Japan we couldn;t get Grey's Anatomy from ABC becouse our internet provider was Japanese and ABC will only allow those with "US" internet providers to watch thier shows. So.... I would assume the same holds for CBS. I will check though to make sure. We were finally able to get GA through ITunes using Marc's company compuater which shows as a "US" internet service. I was then able to log into ITunes on on my computer and watch it. I cannot do that in "real" time on Marc's computer because he can't be without it for a whole hour! I will still try .... but be ready for me to be sitting here on Sunday nights waiting for updates!

My teenaged grandchildren have informed us all that we are having a "NCIS Party" tonight. Works for me!

I tried watching cbs.com from Scotland, and it wouldn't let me see the episodes of NCIS while I was there. CBS had it restricted to USA only.

Well I thought NCIS LA was terrible.
May watch it one more time just to make sure
it was not a one of a time thing.
Acting was very weak.

I'm going to give the crew from LA a few weeks to get their "team mesh" going. So far, I'm not really excited about it.

No Glee for me, Andrea. Tonight is the premier of Modern Family, which is supposed to be the best new show of the season along with Flash Forward, which premiers tomorrow night.

I'll have to watch Modern Family online - hopefully - since I think Law & Order SVU is on at 9:00 too. Definitely watching Flash Forward tomorrow night!

What programs do you watch?

Jan watches
Dancing with the Stars.
Medium
Closer

Jim watches
Survivor
Football

Both watch
CSI (all of them)
Law and Order (all of them)
Mentalist
Without a Trace
Criminal Minds
Numbers
Cold Case

Will watch Flash Forward to see if we like it.
Neither one of us have ever gotten into Sit-coms
which there seems to be more of every season.

We watch Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother, Two and a Half men, Lost, Stargate, Better off Ted (very funny sitcom!!) Desperate Housewives and Deadliest Catch. Those are the shows that we never miss.

Mark watches all of those ghost hunting shows, I just can't get into them??? And of course, I watch Star Trek reruns each night while falling asleep. I have seen them so many times, I turn it on and I am out in less than a half hour. It's works better than a sleeping pill ;)

I think we watch more tv because we have the DVR. There's no way we would be able to watch half the shows if they weren't recorded. Our faves are:

Amazing Race
Desperate Housewives
Brothers and Sisters
Gossip Girl (yes, one of Jerel's favorites)
How I Met Your Mother
House
Lie to Me (just me)
Big Bang Theory
Heroes (going to have to watch online this season)
Glee
All the Law & Orders
The Office/Parks & Recreation/30 Rock
Dollhouse
Numbers (just me)
Top Chef

Unfortunately I found the Vampire Diaries fairly interesting, so that got added on Thursday nights.

In January we'll both watch Lost and I watch 24.

The other new shows we're going to watch to see if we like are Mercy, Fast Forward, & Modern Family.

Seems like we need to get out more!

Funny, we have a lot of shows in common with y'all!

We both watch:

Two & a Half Men (best written and best casting of any show, ever, IMO!)
How I Met Your Mother
Big Bang Theory
Amazing Race
Big Brother
Survivor
Lost
The Biggest Loser (this always tears at our heart strings, very emotional for us)
American Idol

We also sometimes watch House Hunters and My First Place on HGTV if nothing else is on. Also Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" and some stuff on the Travel Channel, like Samantha Brown's show.

Greg also watches:
Ghost Hunters (agree with Karen, I can't get into that, even though I do believe in ghosts)
Heroes

I also watch:
America's Most Wanted (one of my goals in life is to catch a nasty fugitive!)
The Bold & The Beautiful (getting stupider by the minute)
As the World Turns

I probably forgot a show or two! Then there's always football and baseball (we subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket and the MLB package through DirecTV so we don't miss our Packers & Brewers). As well as other miscellaneous sports.

Question is, which could we live without, if we had to make a choice: TV or Internet? LOL

Funny, Karen, I use Law & Order for a sleepng aid like you do Star Trek. You guys who watch Biggest Loser, Rudy is my cousin's godson. We always called him "little" Rudy 'cuz his dad Big Rudy was such a big guy!!!

I watched FlashForward last night and it got me hooked. Now I just need to remember to watch on Thursdays at 8PM. Hope they don't change the night on me. ABC is running the show again tonight at 8, I think.

I’m another one that is spoiled by having a DVR. I watch:
NCIS – the original, of course
Amazing Race – I tour and live the adventurous life vicariously.
Survivor – although it’s sometimes a love/hate relationship.
House – he is so complex it makes me feel normal (Also on DH’s list).
Monk – I’m sad that this is the final season. Again, makes me feel normal.
Grey’s Anatomy
Top Chef – just got into this one this season.
Extreme Makeover Home Edition – can even watch this with the grandchildren (One of DH’s favorites.)
Dancing with the Stars – DH watches this one also.
So You Think You Can Dance – sometimes they are amazing.
The Good Wife – I enjoyed the premier this week.
Project Runway – interesting challenges on this. I like to see what they come up with.
Glee – some really talented young singers. Sure is a quirky show.
And last but not least - U of M football. Thank goodness we're off to a 3 & 0 start this year!

Karen, I LOVED "Modern Family", did you? Wendy and I were watching Dancing with the Stars (a long held tradition - she comes across the road to mine, and we have wine and watch DWTS). We stayed together afterward to watch Modern Family and nearly fell on the floor laughing. Definitely my type of humour. We also watched "Cougar Town" afterward, which was dreadful, or so we though.

I also love Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men (how do they get away with what they get away with on that show? Thank heavens they do!). I have never heard about "Better off Ted" but I'll keep an eye posted.

Charlene, I watched it last night and we really liked it. I had no idea they were all related until the end of the show! And when they brought out baby Lily and introduced her, I thought I was going to fall off the couch laughing!

LOL - me too! "My boyfriend is not that dramatic"...then the whole Lion King presentation. The whole show was funny, scheduling the time to shoot their son....the lecture on the plane when the lady walked by and said "ah, look at the baby and the cream puffs" ("headphones are on us") etc. I laughed from start to finish. And I also didn't realize they were all connected until the end. I'll definitely be PVR'ing this one!

I watched Modern Family. My favorite spot was when the dad shot his daughter's boyfriend with the beebee gun. The Lion King spoof was a hoot!! I liked Manny, the stepson of Ed O'Neill. He looks to be a cute character.

Please, Anna, watch it, it was SO worth it. Silly fun, but that's what we all seem to be about! Silly fun!

Beth, I agree, when they scheduled the "shooting" and then he accidentally shot the son, the boyfriend....well Wendy and I nearly dropped on the floor.

I made Randy watch Modern Family last night. The cream puff scene on the plane made me cry I was laughing so hard.

The reruns last night make me wonder what ABC is planning for Friday nights. Hopefully I can watch FlashForward on the internet in case I miss the first run. Did anyone notice the date used of April 30, 2010.... nearing the end of first run shows for the season? How tricky of those writers!
